Yeah I know what you mean, as soon as I see "engine rebuild" it scares me off. I know not all engine rebuilds are bad and are done to a good standard but I'd be worrying everytime I pressed the loud pedal.
Cheers for the input mate!
But it'd only let me upload 3 photos with it being a standard advert not a premium one.
I'll leave a message on the advert saying "more photos on request"
Doesn't look great does it?
What I find strange though is the fact he wanted to do a straight swap, yet in his advert he stats he's selling because he wants to buy a house. Surely if you're buying property you'd be wanting to sell a car to generate cash for the house?
South Park reference? :rasp: lol
I do see alot of chavs driving valvers to be honest but alot of them are falling apart and riddled with rust, clearly not cared for examples.
I thought the same thing until someone posted in the Spotted section saying they'd seen an 06 plate Trophy. Can't be many 06 plate sports knocking about, I've never seen one in the flesh.

After some thought I've decided to stick my car up for sale on Piston heads to see if I get any interest.
Feel free to point any flaws/faults in the advert, just as long as it's constructive criticism and not blatant flaming :rasp:
I know the...
Suppose that's a possibility.
Something else I forgot to mention in my OP was that I'd sprayed WD40 on my clutch cable as it'd started creaking. Any chance some of that could have dripped on something electric causing the problem I had yesterday?
Thing is, it's been to Renault before for the same problem, surely if it was just a relay they would have found that? and I've tried the swapping relays trick as well.
Yeah! The red light in the centre is going out
Yep! They were all cleaned the last time it wouldn't start
Ok mate cheers! Where about is the gearbox to chassis earth strap located?
I forgot to add this to my OP. The problems started just after I washed my car, is it possible a abit of damp had gotten on to something electrical in the engine bay and caused a short somewhere?
I tried that last time it wouldn't start to no avail, do you think it'd help?
Not even turning over but I've just gone out to it now and it fired up but it's been doing that for the past 3 hours or so. Starting, then not starting. I can't fathom this out at all.
My non starting problem seems to have returned, fuel pump is priming but the engine won't crank. Left it for a while went back to it and it fired up straight away. Killed the engine and went to restart it and the engine stopped cranking again. What the hell is going on? Really winding me up...
Re: idf you were going to sell your clio today
Lol! Tell them it's a unique and rare model? :rasp:
1. few marks in various places, worse one on the back bumper where someone decided push a shopping trolley in to it.
2. Bonnet looks like it's got acne due to all the stone chips.
3. rear...
+1
I managed to get an Escort with a buckled rear wheel through an M.O.T and the place I went to has a reputation for being strict. All I got was an advisory.
Thanks mate!
Yeah you made a quality job of the cover, I'm really pleased with it, thankfully the paint didn't crack during transit. I was a little worried about that because I know what some of the delivery blokes are like with parcels. Lol
The power loss could be psychological due to the noise, the belt isn't to tight is it? I'm having a stab in the dark here because I know very little about them.
I took Plenum off today, didn't make that much easier really, think it'll be staying on the car in the future while I'm polishing it up.
I've sanded down three of the inlets so far, didn't do anymore because I had to replace an engine mount after that I really couldn't be arsed with it lol
