corsa 1.2's are quite a bit faster imo. At some point, i will be getting a 1.2 clio, stripping it fully, plastic windows, ast coilovers, yoko a048's and spank some rs's on some track days. They are by no means a fast car, but hell of a lot of fun to chuck around!

I think there is a relay somewhere which operates the spark. (there is on the spaxo, im guessing now). These are all guesses from different cars, but sometimes the ECU decoder will prevent a spark. Get it into a garage if i was u mate.

check there is power to the coil pack, and start eliminating possible faults.

U wanna go radical. See how light u can get it, get some AST made for it. Get some Yokohamma A048's on it with some 2118's (i think thats what they are called). 2 Light weight bucket seats. And see how fast u can corner in it!!! Then when ur older...drop a turbo'd 182 lump in it.

Im gonna have a pop at this i think, anyone know of a 197 head and intake going for sale? Edit: Standard ecu be able to run all this?, and will the 197 head just bolt on, or will it need modification?

i seem to get best mpg at around 40-43mph in 5th :) had 55mpg from bristol to bridgwater once.... i wish i could make it do that again

Had a look on search before anyone asks, but im not gonna sit here and look for hours on end to get my answer. Are the heads interchangeable between the ph1 172, ph2 172 and the 182? But which has the best block out of the 172's and 182 and which is the best head? E.g will a 172 ph 1...
