had the inlets off the ph1 yesterday for a look to see what they were like, now i remember my ph2 172 inlets being much much worse than this before they were matched. the question is, is it worth matching these ones?

cant really see why? any issues can be sorted out by warranty and if its the car its self you dont like then didnt you test drive it?! granted you should have bought the dci! ;)
i didnt notice a massive gain however ph1's have a much better mid range than ph2 cars anyway so id imagine on a ph2 it would make a decent difference.
the raised limiter makes it worth while for me, and once the pops, bangs and flames map is released it will be awesome!

no, 99% of them wont hit book power, very very few do, if yours hit bang on book power of 179bhp then what did it have pre remap?! their are ones out there running massively under powered and thats just down to dodgey cam timing! they shold never run 10bhp under or more

whats the chances of the new TDC sensor being faulty? slim chance but just remembers me of fault finding on a 1.2 16v that wouldnt run right at all, stuck a new coil pack on it and it still wouldnt run right then done plugs etc etc and...
progress is slow at the moment due to paying for my holiday, the dci needing a clutch and cambelt and generally working flat out having no time for the car! done a few wee bits tho...

got an RS Tuner and put the 98 ron map on it with raised limiter, then went in...
nope they arnt legal unless fitted in projector lenses with washers and auto level adjustment, without these they are iilegal and an mot failure, however some mot testers overlook it.
my car failed on number plate light/loom. i didnt bother changing to loom just the light its self, got a genuine renault brand new one from ebay for £7 or something and it worked.
maby he means the CV joint had lost a circlip loosing all the little roller pin things, not sure if you can get...
cat wouldnt really cauise it to not run, usually just fail emissions.
id watch it hasnt threw an aux belt, wrapped its self under cambelt and caused it to jump a few teeth, it will still turn over that way but smash ur valves to bits while its at it
