agreed at the end of the day its a slightly quick front wheel drive car with a good chassis, you cant get a safer fast car than that!
i found my 172 handled that well it was impossible to crash lol
cheap ass pikey lol because a cheap ass pikey would spend £2600 a year 3rd party on his own insurance, of course i insure my cars legitly in my own name so i can get no claims bonus, 1. i just fancied adapting an arrogant b*****d attatude to start arguments as you seem to have fun doing so here...
has it had the brake fluid changed every 2 years like renault state in the service book? 100% thats your problem! no need for aftermarket stuff its the fluid due a change! mine were getting like that when i sold it, they used to be monsterous!
manifolds and cat are different so ideally you need to run the 182 manifold and 182 cat or atleast a 172 manifold with a custom cat.
cut out spare wheel, weld plate, weld on new hangers and it could be fitted
people will slate a young driver for driving a 172/182 but heres what i found coming from my 1.2 16v.
i had more power to make overtakes without them becoming dangerous
i had traction control to assist me if i ever got slightly out of control (being 17 at the time!!)
i had big 280mm brakes...
hence why i said i agree its stupid arguing about a standard car against a modified one, my MODIFIED 172 had more power and more torque than your heavier 197, hence why it was quicker, i was pointing out if an ibiza TDi passed my 172 then it would pass a 197.
i love this attitude on CS that because its a diesel it could never compete with the mighty 197, however, my old 172 which would quite comfortably be quicker than a 197 in a straight line got passed by a modified ibiza tdi one night. so i dont see what the confusion is, of course a mega torque...
agreed to a certain extent but as long as the car is getting good use for other drives rather than to work and back then it wont be a problem. my old 190 brake 172 got used daily to go 1.5 miles to work and 1.5 miles back from work 7 days a week but it also got plenty other use and aloud to warm...
every girl i know thinks mine is cute, that makes them girly, however mine has a big dirty mans engine, its pretty much like a gorgeous lady boy with a big smelly knob
lol at all the people saying you will kill yourself in the clio 182 SUPER CAR!!! maby if it was a 320bhp turbo rear wheel drive car you would kill yourself, you would need to be a mongo to crash something as predictable as a clio!
i had my 172 when i was just about to turn 18, cost me a bomb...
thats the best setup you can do above ^ again ideally with a ph1/v6 airbox on it as its better.
the bit ive circled red acts as a cold air duct when the grille is all fitted in place taking loads of cold air to the battery area as thats where the standard setup takes its cool air from so...
they are very lumpy on idle and the exhaust splutters on idle especially when cold but they always do it even when warm. however you shouldnt really feel the car vibrate a great deal at all unless you have uprated engine mounts assuming the engines running ok so my guess would be as above check...
