my k-tec stealth with decat used to bang flames on the standard map when it was warm lol happened when you hit the limiter or lifted off to change gear in 2nd or 3rd when accelerating hard
my mrs 1.6 16v clio pulls well from 500rpm but yet my old 172 was lumpy and dead bellow 3k then it surged forward untill 5k when it was explosive lol its because it has wilder cams, the vvt system could have been better to cope with this, i beleive it is in the 197.

i had mega bother a year ago when both snapped and renault couldnt get them for over a month and no one else done them, had to go a month without a car couldnt even get a 2nd hand one
personally i got the car the way i wanted it then realised there wasnt much else i could do to improve it without spending thousands more, so got bored and sold on.
its possible without removing the driveshaft ive done it but it is easyer, being honest if your interested in decating it id take it to a custom place and get a decat pipe made up for it, since it doesnt need changed over at mot time anyway its a case of have one fitted and forget about it.
they are a c**t to change.
using a smashed out cat is nowhere near as good as using a proper decat on these engines due to the size of them, i remember some people having the car running worse with one.
