No sorry mate, the buy basket only has a drop down menu for the normal colours.
You might have to ring them for the fluorescent colours, as I can't find them on their website.
I agree, wouldn't lacquer make it impossible to peel off?
I was under the impression that the clear spray they do...
Apparently it's been done with 1 can, but 2-3 is more realistic I think.
I typed in 'Plasti Dip alloys' into Google and read the posts on other car forums and they were buying 3 cans,
2 in order to give them 3 coats each and 1 as a back up.
Slightly concered that all the pics of the roof in your album are from a distance,
does it not look good close up or something?
I'm just going to stick to doing the wheels on mine, although you can get a clear spray to coat the windows
supposedly it's a chip prevention, wonder if you could...
Spraying them red doesn't help, I think a couple of coats of black would look better,
the results hasn't put me off, my 172 alloys would need a pro refurb if I was to get them powder coated,
so this Plasti Dip stuff looks like a good comprimise if you want a colour change without spending loads...
I like how civilised the discussion was on the scooby forum, no-one got angry and no-one took the piss,
if you had the same topic on here it would just end up in name calling and hatred.
After i've got new tyres all round i'm going to have a go at doing my wheels black.
I was researching this last night and ended up on a US forum for F150 pick ups, they were using it on their wheels
and running boards to winter protect them from salt, grit and the like.
They were saying they...
I wonder how many sets of wheels you'll go through before your next magazine feature, I thinking about 6.;)
I keep an eye on this thread and reserve judgement untill it's finished, as disliking elements of your cars is pointless,
as they probably won't be on it when your done.
Be good to see...
If I drive out of the city I put it in the car, especially if i've got to go on the motorway, but for driving around locally I don't bother,
as one phone call and my mate will just bring my spare from the house, also my cousin has a low loader because he sells cars,
so if i'm really stuck he's...
Get rid of the spare wheel it weighs a bloody ton, I haven't had seats of a spare for years now,
but I mainly did it so my German Shepard's head didn't hit the roof, also he filled the rear veiw whenever he was in the back,
he sits alot lower in the car now, I also ditched the spare wheel as i'm...
The thing is though darkroom techniques are a skill, bordering on an art form, as everyone adopts & adapts what works for them and makes it their own, it took me years to become really good at it, by the time I went to University in my 1st year the tutors were asking me if I could help the 3rd...
I was extremely skilled in chemical darkroom techniques before digital came along,
the photography I practise now is so far removed from what I concidered photography it's unreal!
I though digital cameras were a fun gimmick that wouldn't catch on when they came out,
how f*cking wrong was I?! lol
Thats mental!
I remember when the first cadcam systems came out in the 80s, they were huge and cost tens of thousands and needed a specially trained operator, now any one with a computer can do exactly the same job with photoshop.
It wont be long before conventional digital cameras have gone...
As long as it doesn't clash with an F1 weekend i'll probably show up with my camera,
I know a couple of other lads that might go aswell depending on time & date.
Today I noticed a squeeling noise from the front n/s but it only happens when turning right,
a bit like brake squeel but i'm not touching the brakes.
Possible wheel bearing?
Although I though that was a rumbling/grinding noise?
LOL, too late for that i've already had the spanners out this week, battery problems.
If it's got tits or wheels, it will give you a headache and cost you a fortune.
Not really a fault as the car's fine but recently from cold the temp gauge is
rising to operating temperature in under 5mins, it normally takes at least 10-15mins,
I can't believe the oil can heat up that quickly, any ideas? (ph2 172)
I've read that the thermostat can go wrong on these but the...
182 manifold is a 4-2-1 and is much longer with a lambda and the other in the cat,
and a 172 manifold is a 4-1 and is shorter with both lambdas in the cat.
Heres a pic with them both next to each other.
The thing is a 182 decat wont fit a 172 with a 182 manni due to the 172 exhaust being...
