When I lived in Nottingham I had a mate that got his 182cup tinted, that was the car that made me want to get a RS Clio.
They were totally illegal on the front and for some bizzare reason he never got pulled, :S
and Notts traffic Police aren't know for their happy go lucky nature.
I'll let you...
Cheers mate that would be cool, and your right I just want some better speakers and a bit more bass,
tbh it's clarity of sound at a higher volume I want, as I might get a sub at a later date for more of a kick, but nothing chavtastic.
A straight speaker swap sounds right up my street!
Ah right, they sound like a good idea then, tbh for £50quid I might give them a go.
I'll have to pay someone to fit all of that though, or i'll probably end up frying the car........and myself.
I get there are 2 speakers, 2 tweaters but what are those square things?
I know these are total newb questions, but as ive said before I don't have the first clue.
I even resorted to standing in Halfords today and staring at their wall of speakers.........it didn't help. LOL
As soon as I find some speakers that look good for the money, I find a thread one here saying they're sh*t.
Also I wouldn't have the first clue about how to fit any of it, do...
I wonder why the Kenwood one is more expensive for lower wattage, paying for the name?
I literally have no clue about car speakers whatsoever, other than the clio has 13cm speakers.
^^How much is that?
I'm in the same boat as you, I want better speakers and some more bass,
but I don't want to spend a fortune, carry around loads of weight in the boot or rattle my fillings out.
All the threads i've read have just confused me more.:S
Bugger, I was thinking about one of those under seat subs, but all the threads i've read don't rate them.
Was it this one you had? As it was one I was considering seeing as I have a Kenwood HU.

^^^This.
Get an RSTuner Fastchip remap, that'll sort out your cold start issues and give the car a bit more go lower down the rev range,
decent exhaust and some decent springs from the for sale section and leave it at that.
Then upgrade as you go, like braided steel brake lines, better...
About 2:30pm today in Halfords car park Foleshill Rd Coventry.
As I came out of Halfords in the car park there was a Dark Blue Ph2 172,
and a Dark Blue Valver with a tow strap on the front.
No idea if there on here, but worth a try.
I had to charge my battery recently due to the car sitting still for a month, it was dissconnected while it was charging,
and I still have my Fastchip map doing it's job.
Well that's nice and quiet, also he doesn't seem to want to drive it faster than 30mph.
What's the worse that can happen?
At least if he kills himself in it, it's one hell of a way to go,
'How did he die?'
'Turbine powered Batmobile'
'Cool!'
I could see a wedding limo company buying it, wouldn't be affordable to drive the bride or groom to the church in a real Veyron,
but to the average person that doesn't have a clue it would be passable.
I've got an older RST from a group buy from 2009, http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?417670-quot-NEW-quot-RS-Tuner-Groupbuy-May-09/page28&highlight=RS+Tuner+group+buy
can I use this update or do I need a newer box?
The person that did all that, is the kind of person that hoards useless crap in their house,
and when they die it takes the council a week to clear all the pointless sh*t, piles of newspapers and bottles of piss out of their house.
Just watch out when he get's older, your Mrs might want you to get a bigger (more practical) car, just happened to a lad I know on here,
although he's managed to convince her that a Meg 225 is a good idea.
I haven't changed the oil in my car for 2 years due to poverty, (not good I know but in the last year eating was more important)
it was all I could do to keep the damn thing on the road, but i've got a new job now and can sort the car out properly once again.
It's been 2 years since the last...
