PH2 V6 Parked on the Bell Green Rd, I drove past at about 11:40am
It was a greyish colour, first one i've seen since moving
back to Cov, very tidy.
Cool, i'll be there.
Ive not lived in Cov for 13 years, moved back just before xmas so
i'm a bit rusty on Cov/Leam layout, but sat navs rule.
So hopefully I wont get too lost finding you guys, or the meet if we get seperated.
Re: Possible new splitter found!!
How would you fit it then?
Gaffa tape it on then drill straight through the splitter and the bumper,
or drill them both separately?
Im good with a socket set but drilling holes in my car is a bit daunting.
I researched the JMS setup to see if I could put it together cheaper,
I couldn't, it was more expensive.
Also the only part I couldn't find was the filter.
Whats wrong with ordering it from JMS?
Mine sounds exactly the same at normal speeds, but thats becaus I can't hear a damn thing over my exhaust, at high revs though my engine now has a mean growl:evil:
This is the kind of thing I keep finding.
That's not really gonna fit is it?
It's goona need cuting down to fit the thottle body.
Also im not sure the lenght will fit the airbox.
Where do I get an induction hose without the breather pipe?
Everyone that sells the samco for a 172 has the breather pipe attached.
I would just order a lenght of pipe but I don't know the dimentions,
apart from the fact that its a 90 degree bend.
Ive got a spare £45 from a car boot sale so was gonna spend it on something cheap, I don't think i'll be able to afford a whole steering wheel
though.
I might just wait till k-tec start selling theirs again, then again I might spend it on some white dials, if I don't spend it soon it's just...
So is it a very light coating then?
I had to really squeeze the foam to feel anything,
& even then my fingers were just tacky not oiley.
Sorry for all the questions, I just want to make
sure that it will do its job properly.
Need to clean my ITG so Ive put a k-tec filter in,
when I first got the ITG it was really well oiled,
so I assumed the k-tec one would be the same
but it felt quite dry / not very oiled, is that normal?
Sorry, diddn't notice your not a member, it won't let you look at it.
Your not missing much, it basically tells you that the pump is under
the plastic tray of the wipers, basically it's a pain in the arse to get
to and replace.
The garage that did mine knew exactly where it was & how to get it...
Theres a guide on how to do it, but it's not that usefull IMO,
i'm no grease monkey so got a local garage to do mine,
cost about £80 parts & labour.
