    Confused about washer jets.

No noise at all when I pull the stalk, but it does work the wipers, and yes, its the same at night when the lights are on.:) A few months ago the washers stared to not work every now and again, if it was the fuse it would have gone instantly and not gradually wouldn't it?

    Confused about washer jets.

    How do I do that?
  3. DaveDreads

    Confused about washer jets.

Windsreen and headlights, both don't work. Pull stalk and no solonoid/clicking sound and no pump noise aswell.

    Confused about washer jets.

I know this has been covered before and yes I have done a search, thats why i'm a bit confused. A few posts mention seperate pumps for windscreen and headlights but GSF and euro car parts only stock one pump, do I need two of them or does one pump control both windscreen and headlights?

She was quite attractive, but its a rough area so taking pics would probably lead to a punch in the face.:dead: Sorry.

    Strut Braces...Worth buying???

Braided steel brake lines! You might want to look in to getting a 2.5" SS exhaust awell, a mate of mine had a 182cup and a zorst and remap changed the car completely, but these are expensive mods.

    Strut Braces...Worth buying???

Ive got an OMP brace in the back of my 172 and I noticed a difference straight away, but it does depend on what suspention setup your using. The rear ones don't brace the chasis they just stop the rear shocks from moving about. The rubbers at the top of them are quite soft on standard...

    Dash Strips, what colour?

I thought it was a good idea till I saw a photo of it, now i'm undecided, the pic is suzuki white but the brightness could just be the camera flash bouncing off the strips. I want to do the gear knob insert in white, but I dont know weather having a white insert with silver strips would look...

    Dash Strips, what colour?

At some point in the future i'm gonna be doing this white dial conversion, possibly with carbon effect film in the middle bit. With these chrome dial rings, I want to colour code the dash strips, but I dont know what colour to go for. White to match the dials like this? Or...

SERV light, but no fault code?

Brake pads are brand new, only been on a month or so. I'll check the oil, I guess that the oil OK message on my trip computer can't be trusted.

SERV light, but no fault code?

No other light was on with it. (sorry for late reply, no internet access at home)

SERV light, but no fault code?

Yesterday my SERV light came on, Ive plugged my RST Box in to the car but no fault codes stored? I did a search and it's been mentioned that it could be a low fluid level somewhere, but all fluids are fine. Could it be that my washer jets aren't working?

    Opinion on these alloys please?

You could just buy the first cheap second hand set of wheels you like in any colour and then have them re-sprayed or powder coated? Not sure on prices of re-spray or coating though?

    Opinion on these alloys please?

If your not going on track days or have a heavy foot then theres probably no point, i've just got a bit addicted to power to weight ratio. But then if I wanted a cheap car to run thats still quick I would have stuck with my Golf GT TDI 4Motion. I just got a bit bored with it. I'm not bored...

    Opinion on these alloys please?

Im not a fan of the red rim either but coded the same colour and they should look good. I understand that you want the same look as Turini's for a fraction of the price, but if they get slated don't let that put you off. At the end of the day your the one driving it. Im planning on getting...

    Opinion on these alloys please?

There alright, I would'nt have them on mine but then i'm not a big fan of Turini's. If you like them then thats a good enough reason to buy them mate. Personal taste and all that.;)

    Anyone ever seen these?

Ive got standard 172 alloys that a battered to f*ck, I was hesitant to get the refurbed because I know that on the first day I got them on i'm bound to scuff them on something. I saw these rim things and thought problem solved.

    Anyone ever seen these?

Wheel protectors.:S I'm pretty sure there plastic, I know your all gonna say they look gash, but I thought they were a good idea, sort of. This is where i'm proved to be in a minority of one! And commence hatred:mad: wwww.wheelsprotector.co.uk

    Another milestone reached.

Looks like i've been quite lucky with mine then, but then I have spent a fair bit on modds and servicing over the last 2 & a half years since ive had it. 4 new PE2s New windsreen (£60 excess thank god!) Replaced all the fluids, Cambelt service, Goodridge lines, Piper (GDI) Stealth SS Cat back...

No, thats still got water in it, it just wont spray.

    Another milestone reached.

Still going strong, but I have heard that things start to go wrong around this time, so what can I expect? Apart from the washer jets not working, thats allready happened. CamBelt was done a year and a half ago.

    New noise, don't like!
