made it myself, cut old cat open smashed internals out then welded it back up.
ali, yeah there slow as s**t, but i never had any money issues when i had it so thinking about puting up with it again haha
it doesnt have a sunroof, lucky boy.
i had an expression which was similar but only a 16v over an 8v and a couple of other goodies, i converted it to full dynamique spec, was fun but silly lol.
if i was you all id do is, dynamique alloys, spoiler, eather dynamique interior or 172 interior...
not sure if the other models are the same but on the 1.2 16v you MUST do the waterpump!! mine was done just over a year before i got it, (and about 20k miles) and it snapped due to the waterpump bearing seasing up (had been leaking for ages!)
worst part was i was in the middle of a 2 car...
i had them on my 1.2 16v and rate them very high, along with the FK silverline X Coilovers, front and rear strut braces, everything stripped out it and 15" wheels with 195/45/15 eagle F1's.
considering it was only running just over 80bhp the thing was a weapon down a backroad, everything was...
looking through my videos tonight and found a video i done a while back of my 1.2 with the powerflow exhaust! took it out a blast at about 3am in the morning (stupid things i used to do with that car lol) and took it down a long straight on a backroad i know with the boot open to record the...
my greenstuff pads took mega hard abuse on fast road and track, even had to replace the disks due to them cracking (common problem on drilled disks)
but the 1.2 was braking hard from 100 odd mph not 135! with more weight!
bought my car from a toyota dealer with new pads all round and new front disks but the're unipart crap squeel like a piggy and fade after using them once or twice.
they also kick out MEGA ammounts of dust.
i had black diamond drilled and grooved front disks and GreenStuff pads on my wee 1.2...
if it has FACTORY FITTED xenons (eg. a 172/182) then it must have washer jets to be sold in this country, some mot testers might check most will not.
if they are aftermarket fitted (eg. as this guy has done) then it is NOT required
think i need to get 15" wheels for mine because im still not having as much fun as i used to have in my coilovered car on 15s!!! ill give them a go on monday!
04 onwards is a 182 (different wheels, twin exhausts sticking out back bumper)
Extra 10bhp comes from a 4-2-1 manifold over the 4-1 used on the 172 and the different exhaust system as well as some ecu tweeks iirc.
early 172's didnt have ESP, late ones had ESP and later ones had both ESP and...
No need for that, the forums here to help, would be no point in it if everyone had "BASIC mechanical Knowledge"
check the imobiliser fuse (or all the fuses for that matter!), sounds like the problem i had when mine blew
i looked into it when i blew up my 1.2 lump, as far as i know the stock intake is the weak point, so for higher rpm and much more power you need to replace that so your looking at using ITB's or be oldskool and save money and use motorbike carbs!! (my mate has a 1600gte nova lump running them...
is there any performance difference between the 2? wasnt sure if the silenced one was more restrictive?
been looking at the k-tec ones but not sure what one to go for, is there a big difference in noise?
anyone got any engine pics, want to see how similar it is to the n/a version i can see my birds dynamique (my old black one) running 150bhp with it for a laugh!
awesome mate, sorry i went offline on msn the other day, didnt manage to get time to put the 15s on mine but will do soon!
i was itching from day one to put sportlines on mine, had only had it a month when i changed them. next up after a new exhaust is a set of 15s tho deffo as 16s are balls!
