Renault Sport also re-geared the Mk2 Clio V6 to improve acceleration. Not only final drive ratio is reduced by 10%, the first 3 gears are also set closer. Now it can claim 0-60mph in 5.6 seconds and 0-100mph in just over 14 seconds

This may be totally crazy but I have read a suggestion of rubbing down the scuff and filling it with solder? then sanding it level ready for painting.
Odd but I wonder?
My last V6 had 7 miles on the clock, anymore and it was going to be their new demo.
Sounds to me like it allows the dealer to book about 10 test drives and get away with it.
The testing is supposed to be done in France though?
The minute the tracker is fitted, It should be activated. I...
A certain person has just told me that it is now Renaults policy to test drive all RenaultSport cars for between 40 - 70 miles before delivery to the dealer in the UK.
Does anyone have this in black and white?
It doesnt effect me, but it may bother some new owners.
I noticed it last week. It was nice to see the club in such an exclusive magazine.
What were the Games? I heard something about a large bowl and car keys?
:D
I sprayed a bit on my 172 once and it was a crap job, so I took it to a bodyshop to sort it. He said there was enough in one spray can from Halfords to respray the whole car Renault style. :o
Im not a great lover of quick dashes to 60 but I like to go very fast, so I guess Im more of a top speed man. Just a personal feeling thing with me. Like I love heights but hate ladders.
Having a faster 0-60 would help me reach those 150s quicker so I want a bit of both. :)

Anyway, back to the original question...Q - Which is faster?A - V6 Reason - Mk1 does 145mph and the mk2 does 153mph, compared to 138mph for the Cup, so V6 is the fastest of the cars in question, which is what she wanted to know! ;)

Track, track, track. How many hours in a year do you drive on a track ( if ever )?
How many hours in a year do you drive your car on the road?
Did you buy your car on the strength on what Top Gear said it did by one guy on a track?

[PP]James yes the V6 will do 155 but if we are being honest who will ever find this out?
Everyone who has one I should think. I did top speed almost every night in my V6 when I had one.
In which order would you perfer to see a V6 in?
Black
Blue
Red
Silver
Acid Yellow
Petrol Blue
Deep Bronze
Liquid Yellow
Inferno Red
Any colour you think it should available in?

Im definately feeling that stupid seatbelt thing, (thankfull not on the Cup!).
Agree with you there Si. I didnt miss that in the v6.
I look at it more simply. Which car can drive along a road doing 155mph? If faster means which car is in front, then I guess the one that is going faster, is faster.
From the renault website
