4 bolts, outer ones are under a gromit, inner onces are indeed behind the exhaust shield, but iirc theres holes in the exhaust shield to get to the bolts without moving anything else, also remember the wires that go into the bottom of the seat, dont just yank it out after taking the bolts out...

yes it will fit your ph1, is it worth it is a question completely up to you, if its in good condition, it sounds like a fair price. and i dont think if you want a ph2 rear end your going to find one in the correct colour.
