Got to agree . If there wasn't a recess it would look good , but with the recess in the bumper it just doesn't look right to me .
Each to their own tho' !
Lookswise . I like it alot . Never had any experience of them myself though . Being a cotton air filter it'll sound loud , just as you want ;)
I'd say it was pretty cheap considering the price of similar cotton air filters from Green and K+N cost hell of alot more without any sort of airbox...
They fit bob on . There is just a tiny little bit of plastic that needs filing off on the back . Literally takes a couple of seconds then they sit flush in the wings .
i've never used spacers so i'm not that clued up on em tbh . You'll need something like 5mm .
Put a post up about " what spacers " and you might get a bit more help . I'm sure there will be a few others on here that will have encountered the same problem and have more info about it .
The 182 wheels have a higher offset so they sit further into the arch . You need some spacers to bring the wheel out slightly . That should solve the problem .
I wouldn't personally . I'd stick with the 205's myself . I'd be asking the question . " Why are they scraping " ? Has it been lowered , wrong offset wheels ??
Tell em to fcuk off mate . They are shafting you big time . Like Steve says , the rear discs are only 8mm new , minimum thickness is 6mm , you've probably got another 18months - 2 years left in em yet as they do fcuk all .
I know you can't you Mr Informative . But like i said in my previous post they are BOG STANDARD BRAKES , nothing special . If you want a manual showing the same brakes get one for a Citroen ZX 1991 - 94 or Pug 306 1993 - 95 . The calipers are almost exactly the same as the 1*2's both front and...
Like the man says . Do it yourself . Save a fortune , once you know how to change them it's always there when you need to do it in the future .
If your unsure , get a haynes manual .172's brakes aren't anything special pretty bog standard or get a mate who's done it before to give you a hand...
^^^ That might be why then , they will be aiming too low . I love the xenons on my 182 , my 172's xenons were fine as well both on standard suspension .
^^^ They are self levelling mate . Have you lowered your car ??
They can be adjusted manually inside the engine bay . You have to switch the ignition on then adjust them with the white allen screws .
Only on CS will you find one at that abnormally low price . Everywhere else expect to pay around 9 - 9.5k for 55 plate if it's in good condition .
Why do people always under value their cars on here . It's beyond me
Well work it out mate . £6.50 for 8 - 17 extra bhp . Tuning companies with years of experience charge around £300 for a remap for less bhp .
Who's actually bullshitting and who actually knows what they are doing ??
I'd say the tuning companies ;)
I can't see Chipsaway doing that for £35 quid tbh . It wouldn't be worth his time , effort , fuel , cost of paint ........
It'll but more in the region of £70 - £100 imo .
Looks good mate . I'd change the side repeaters for smoked ones though if it was me then it would be inkeeping with the anthracite wheels and door badges .
Second ones down would finish it off imo . They are more grey than they look in the pic ...
Your lucky then . If it was vinyl the lacquer would react with it and melt it .
If you find you've haven't got as gloss a finish as you wanted , get some Meguiars Scratch X , it'll come up really shiny .
Now you've just shattered my illusions of your thing :( Sorry mate , not keen on that body kit at all , especially in primer grey :dead:
Each to their own though if you fancy it .
