Find an old paintbrush in the shed. Or buy a cheap one from Wilko for a quid. Tape up anything metal or even the plastic body with insulation tape. Job done. Or spend £30 on wheel woollies.

How much (ballpark - don't need exact details) are these .. miles / age ? I really REALLY want a C4S for my next car, but a Cayman seems a much more sensible (read: sensible wallet friendly) option.

Look(ed) alright ;) Thing is, now it's cleaned and protected, a power-wash off will probably clear 9/10 of that dirt. Smother it in foam and rinse it off with an open hose and you're sorted. No need to wash or even dry !
