    photography courses

Nope. I just used my camera until I figured it all out ;) Was bloody complicated compared to my bridge camera before the SLR. Read the guides on here, buy a 'nifty fifty' and just get involved. Taking it out for the day going to a park or into the nearest City will teach you more than a...

The "Ive taken a pic and I kinda like it" thread

Nice. Bit of a change from recent years eh ! :o LOL .. why not do a 'forgot my password' thing ? Spoon haha ! Love it. Bit weird but yeah, why not ! One of my furry alarm clock - messing about last night with my 50mm ..: Straight off the camera

    Tyre profiles

Sell the 45s and just get 4 of the same (and right) size ! I wouldn't want to induce negative rake like that. It will look daft and handle awkwardly I'd imagine too...

Think my timing is out, any Renaultsport friendly garages in/near West Sussex?

I'd surgest going to see MWM in Staines, K-Tec in Dorset (possibly a bit of a trek) or Danny/Fred in t'Midlands. There's Renotec (something like that) in Portsmouth and Ren7oaks in Sevenoaks. I think Fred (and probably other people on here that aren't 'specialists') has a spare set of...

Do 17" alloys look 'chavy' ?

Yes but if the overall diameter of new wheel/tyre is 10mm higher, it'll raise the car off the ground and not make any difference to the arch gap http://www.tyrecentrenorthampton.co.uk/image_library/library/t/tyr/tyrecentrenorthampton.co.uk/orig_one_series_006.jpg .. pour examplé ;)

Nice ph1's, worth tucking away for a few years?

Keep it as a second car ? Does anyone insure these as Classics yet ? In ten years of sitting around doing nothing it'll need new tyres, belts, blah blah blah... it'll cost a fortune to get back on the road - that's assuming everything that should move still does (suspension etc) and things...

    Good Photography magazines?

What camera have you got dude ? I used to get the PhotoPlus Canon edition.. was alright but I ended up with over a years worth and realised I was out growing it... it's super basic (well I think so) but at the same time I did pick some useful tips up when I were a noob...

Are you sure that's wise, sir?

Rollers are phenomenal ! http://youtu.be/Yl6yJQctedc?t=50s http://youtu.be/Yl6yJQctedc?t=50s <-- skip to 50seconds. A few seconds later and that chinquchento thing would have been a pancake.

Do 17" alloys look 'chavy' ?

If the diameter is higher with your new set, it will actually raise the car not lower it...

    Rainx - its brilliant

I assumed you already had the G1 from your post.. Anyway, on the pot I'm pretty sure it says to use plain kitchen towel to apply - then just sprinkle water on the screen and use another clean sheet to remove.

    Focus door protectors?

Ford put these on some of the managers cars and didn't tell them.. some noticed, some didn't .. some mentioned they heard a funny noise but didn't know what was making it. :o I think the main aim is to protect your own car .. however it's a far nicer touch condition than the sharp (in...

    Rainx - its brilliant

Who said anything about putting it in the bin ? G1 is a far superior product.. why would you want to use the lesser product especially at this time of year ?!

    Rainx - its brilliant

Why ?? It's like saying I'll have beans on toast for a week before I eat caviar and lobster. Probably... Just use the G1. Give the other two away or put them in the shed.

    basic dslr

You say that now... If you're a total novice, a point and click will do you best I think, as you don't seem to want to expand the SLRs capabilities. I got a £100 bridge, then a 400d for about £500 and now I've got a £1600 7D with over a grands worth of extra lenses etc... :o An iPhone camera...

    Car won't start

I would suggest leaving it a few more minutes, as it's bloody cold (meaning more amps needed) and your battery sounds KO'd. Failing that, just go buy a new battery... If it solves your problem, great. If not, you've got a new battery which assuming your current one isnt a week old isn't...

    Different tyre profile sizes

Ok .. but as above, there's 4" difference in overall height. Just go with the OEM size. Blackcircles / Camskill FTW. Try a 215/50 or 45 instead of 55 perhaps ? Plenty of tyre calculators online to see what's what if your original size are 'that' awkward to get hold of.
