Almost every track i know of wont let you use "proper" slicks with out a cage fitted? You still got them for a damn good price, my max bid was £76 iirc? but i would of needed a courier to collect/deliver them for me :(

How many miles has the car covered? usual things really... Oil Oil filter Coolent (get the good Renault stuff from GSF Type D iirc) Get an ITG filter, will last ALOT longer and better quality Spark plugs will more than likely need doing, if they haven't before (NGK PFR6E-10 iirc)

all the little things added together make a big difference... stripping the car is by far the cheapest modification though!

My car developed this fault on the way down to Newquay this week!! Car sits at 2,000rpm and will set off its self when letting the clutch up, but if i blip the throttle the revs settle back down to a normal idle.. I am thinking throttle cable problems

I loved rolling in my old AX gt.... 136K on the clock, when warm idled between 4 - 5k ahh and only cost me £160 :D Wheels where worth more than the car!
