    i'd counter that, my experience is you lose nothing with the 182 manifold, but it improves the torque curve (removes a big dip from the mid range)

    If you're going to do it, use a genuine manifold at least. Those ebay ones look dreadful. I've just bought myself a 172 and it's getting a 182 manifold, but purely becuase the engine is out for a rebuild

    very very very different. amazing what 10 years of technology can improve on. The map files are 3 times the size for a start. Omex 600 is fine got one on my mk1, plenty that it can't do on a mk2 though. Remember you will need a loom either buying or making, then fitting, which a GEN90...

    better intercooler, free flowing exhaust, panel filter, custom remap. Probably worth removing EGR, and improving on the boost pipe out of the turbo (J shaped pipe, gets very blocked up with carbon and gunk)

    they should both be very similar tighness. I've seen some that have had the nut on the exhaust side utterly drowned in thread lock though
