But that's the Vee trying to tell you its a supercar ;)
In fairness when your doing 70 on the speedo you probably doing about 65 so 10mph out at 160 is probably the same on most cars.
That might be true but if your car is reading 47mpg and your really getting around 40mpg then imo that is still very good fo what it is.
Although I don't think they are that far out myself.
sod all difference in a straight line and sod all in the twisties in general road use. certainly nothing that some springs wouldn't sort out (apparently!). so go with the one in the best condition imo.
If you can also afford the extra running costs like tax, insurance, reliability then it would be well worth it imo.
Unless your young and pay stupid amounts on insurance. Even if you can afford it.
If it fucked up because of there lousy work then I would make sure you get a courtesy car off them for the duration and if they say no then kick off when the show room is full of people.
Just a garage near me. Not sure if anything will be for sale yet, he just said its probably going to be a write off so I said I'd be interested in the spoiler if it is. Going back in the next day ot 2 to try and get it.
Didn't look bad tbh. Think it might have had bad suspension probs but all the bodywork looked fine still although I couldn't see the front end.
It was also on 182 wheels.
I might get chance to do a part ex on my 172 spoiler for a cup spoiler both in iceberg. What would you say is a fair price on top of mine for the cup one?
Cheers:)
The main problem I find with any 1.2 (and some bigger cars for that matter) is when something gets in your way when trying to make progress. It kills them and takes an age to get back up to speed. Long hills do the same too.
Who ever said the Fiesta 1.25 is the best 1.2 I have to agree, its...
Walk away if that's what a mechanic is saying about the belts then you have to wonder.
And as for the bit about evos not selling.... all sounds a bit pushy to me/
They can't defy the laws of physics but it has infinitely better control of the individual wheels than just using your throttle. I don't believe he could get up that slope without it myself and he did say he tried every way possible.
Isn't it Bosch that do the ESP in the Clio (they did on the megane)? In which case it could well be the same programe or similar to the one used on that Jag in the vid because its about the same age.
f**k me, I wish I could drive as well as you:rolleyes:
The video clearly shows that esp/abs/tc isn't the hindrance that some people make it out to be in the snow and ice. In fact far from it.
