the standard belt is a 6pk1661. non genuine belts are thicker. they're actually the same length, but due to the way a serpantine belt runs the extra thickness has the effect of making it shorter. you need a 6pk1663
pretty sure that's for the tailored kit to go on a standard plenum, including idle motor and adaptor bracketry and all the pedal and crank sensor stuff
DTA S40 is £499+vat, loom is £295+vat, and sensors are about £35+vat,
Gen 90 is £850+vat, but no loom of sensors needed for a ph2...

a specialist modified policy will be cheaper than a normal policy with mods added. They run special schemes for modded cars to achieve this. My Friend created the modified scheme at MCE (dont go near them now!!!)
from memory it's not that much different a price for a new one from renault to what you've been quoted, and you'll get the newer type bolted diff included. worth getting a price IMO

definitely has multi layer maps. I'm not quite sure how these are applied to the running though. I dont think it's as clear cut as your post suggests, more that they're compensation factor tables
here here. Ultimate is subjective anyway, your car, do what you want with it. Plenty of people that wont take the piss, with genuine experience of the performance side of things when you get to that bit. They're just normally better to talk to off forum ;)
I've seen track cars and drift cars running stacked up spacers and they weren't a problem, Wouldn't do it myself, but i can't see 5mm ones being a problem. I run 5mm spacers on my mk1 to make the front wheels miss the coilovers.
The only time i've seen wheelbolts come loose actually was on...
