    xbox live modernwarfare 2 problems.

it's doing the same for a lot of people. I've had 2 games in the last hour. Given up for now. Think it's struggling with the new map packs and whatever patch they've added being done at the same time

    182 Cambelt Change

i am refering to the noise, but i mean the idler on the aux belt as i said
  4. S

    Help! cars in bits.

the standard belt is a 6pk1661. non genuine belts are thicker. they're actually the same length, but due to the way a serpantine belt runs the extra thickness has the effect of making it shorter. you need a 6pk1663

    182 Cambelt Change

should point out that it's probably more aux belt related than cambelt anyway. I'd bet it needs new aux tensioner and idler

    Which ITBs??

pretty sure that's for the tailored kit to go on a standard plenum, including idle motor and adaptor bracketry and all the pedal and crank sensor stuff DTA S40 is £499+vat, loom is £295+vat, and sensors are about £35+vat, Gen 90 is £850+vat, but no loom of sensors needed for a ph2...

    Insurance - a black art?!

a specialist modified policy will be cheaper than a normal policy with mods added. They run special schemes for modded cars to achieve this. My Friend created the modified scheme at MCE (dont go near them now!!!)

    Which ITBs??

they're unusual, but theres a few about. K4Ms have it but there's actually a core plug there like the cam blanking plugs. Renault randomness

    Which ITBs??

Install I did Used a small rad with a far greater number of fins to give a larger surface area for better cooling

    3 new HTC handsets announced

the desire has a faster processor than any of the others. I'd have the legend if it had the 1Ghz processor

    Best current 182 exhaust...

I've fitted loads :S they're the most starightforward of all in my experience. K-tec/janspeed is decent, but i'm not a fan of the assembly.

    Gearbox rebuilds

from memory it's not that much different a price for a new one from renault to what you've been quoted, and you'll get the newer type bolted diff included. worth getting a price IMO

    3 new HTC handsets announced

desire beats the iphone to a pulp. the speed of it is crazy for a start. the processor is underclocked as it was too fast lol.

    3 new HTC handsets announced

geeked out and went for a play with one this afternoon. I'm getting a desire, end of story. My mate works for Carphone warehouse and he bought the first one through the door, with his own money, outright. He NEVER buys things from work. I'd have it now if their insurance pricing had been...

    Renault ECU Theory?

you do know a remap on the std ecu invalidates type approval anyway?
  22. S

    Renault ECU Theory?

definitely has multi layer maps. I'm not quite sure how these are applied to the running though. I dont think it's as clear cut as your post suggests, more that they're compensation factor tables

New wheels on the exclusive before they sell

exclusive needs original BBS rims. that doesn't look bad though to be fair

    Giong for the ultimate clio

here here. Ultimate is subjective anyway, your car, do what you want with it. Plenty of people that wont take the piss, with genuine experience of the performance side of things when you get to that bit. They're just normally better to talk to off forum ;)

are wheel spacers safe on a track car?

I've seen track cars and drift cars running stacked up spacers and they weren't a problem, Wouldn't do it myself, but i can't see 5mm ones being a problem. I run 5mm spacers on my mk1 to make the front wheels miss the coilovers. The only time i've seen wheelbolts come loose actually was on...

    Cat - manifold joint

you definitely need the springs, it's a flexi join.
