i wouldn't be bothering. regularly seen 100k pumps still going strong. if i were to fail it would be an oddity

    Water + engine = Problems.

pull the leads out and blow the water out with air pressure if you can. then use some water dispersant lube (wd-40 or similar)

    Water Pump

mileage? TBH, if it aint broke, dont fix it. They're not a general weakness

    Inlet Manifold

that's a very late engine i think, not like the earlier ones at all. can't quite see what's going on. What i said is true of mk2 clios

    Inlet Manifold

the "vent hole" isn't an oil breather, it's just a vacuum take-off that goes to the carbon canister. It's unimportant. There's a very small oil hole that you can just put a screw in

    1.2 Subframe Onto A 172...

sounds like your car's a right spooner ;)

    1.2 Subframe Onto A 172...

but that just means the length of the wishbone is different, which isn't in question. The actual subframe is the same width. There's even a difference between ph1 172 and 182 wishbones.

    1.2 Subframe Onto A 172...

except ph1s which have a spacer on one corner

    Cracked Cam Lobe!

cat 420s are "standard" billet cams. Basically intended for motorsport use when you have to have standard, they're just the best you can have within tollerence

  19. S

i think somethings wrong help pls

erm, more like £150 for the correct tools from renault, and non genuine aren't worth thier weight in scrap. Jason, glad it's sounding better with an oil change, any more problems just get Adey to give me a shout ;)

    Maybe a head gasket

1.2 16v breather systems love condensation. mayo on all of them. water pumps also like to leak pretty badly

    Flux Insurance WTF?

i just did a direct line quote for a laugh. It's double the cost of my trade policy to insure a 182
  22. S

i think somethings wrong help pls

they've buggered something up. Timing is probably well out
  23. S

    Scam??

I'd guess at neglected servicing (belts) and they've had a quote from renault to have it done and been scared. Bargain if it's good and just needs the belts doing
  24. S

    cleaning engine

blow it out with an airline if you can. wouldn't worry about a few drops though, it'll soon evaporate ones it's running. squirt of wd40 if it's going to be sitting a while
  25. S

    cleaning engine

shove cloth in the ports and anywhere you dont want to get water, then jetwash away.
  26. S

Is dephaser pulley part of the cambelt kit?

i wouldn't if there's no problem. a good clean out is a vital part of the cambelt change process IMO, and it seems to do pretty well at keeping things fresh

Reccomend somewhere to refurb my wheels

I'd use Pristeen as i've know them for years, my best friend worked there for a long time, and i've seen a lot of their work over years. Best off seeing some examples of the work from wherever you choose first IMO
