oh its definately an improvement, when i fitted mine and went for a drive for the first time i was amazed and the difference it made, handled like a go kart, loved it, just saying in the wet if you back off suddenly the back end can snap back at you, so u have to be careful. i need to get one...
pmsl. john if i was you id keep it mate, spend the £300 on it and run about in it, could you not do the belts yourself? u can whip an engine out a ph1 no bother.
the arb can make the back end twitchy in the wet, had a few brown pants moments in my old ph1 going round a few r/a in wet conditions and also once when i was pulling away and turning right under acceleration then suddenly backed off due to traffic, but in the dry they are awesome, just drive...
So iv ordered a 3/4 size plate for the front and getting some koni adjutables and new top mounts too. Will fit a whiteline arb when doing the suspension, will update with pics. I really like this little car :)
Yeah front plate a bit big IMO like the 3/4 plates. Also I'm sure my cup felt a bit faster, but then was a long time ago. Think I need to junk the air con, or get a cup lol
Thinking about it, had one from new back in 2003, loved it, and have seen a minter for sale with low miles, might just 'cup' this. Do love the colour of the cups and the turinis.
Seems everyone knows me due to 'that' thread :o Mods are ktec induction kit, ktec stealth exhaust, eibach sportlines and Goodridge brake hoses. Want a whiteline arb next. And need to get my matched inlets fitted been in my hut for months
I spoke to someone who had 438's and mapped and didn't notice that much of a difference, it's a lot of cash for 15 or 20 bhp. If your belts are due then yeah worth it more then IMO
