    cam belt change

100% not an engine out job. you do need about £160 worth of locking tools though. dont buy non genuine tools, they're made of cheese and bend

    subaru killer for £2200

they're very fast. driven a lot of saabs and they're great. Viggen is VERY fast but the handling doesn't quite match up to the rest, though it's easily sorted. I'd have one over a subaru any day TBH

manifold bolt snapped in cylinder head

if it's apart, i'd take it to an engine repairer/reconditioner. The engineers i use have bike parts in all the time with broken studs for extraction, they do so many that it's false economy to not use them for their experience. IMO you're more likely to cause damage and extra cost, bike engine...

how to properly test if oil and water are mixing?

sniff is to test for hydrocarbons getting into coolant, Leakdown test will tell you if there's a breach from the cylinder into coolant or oil. Coolant into oil is very hard, it's not at all unusual for condensation to get into the breather system on many different engines. best proof would be to...

    Clio dci 65

fair price, bit leggy but a low miler would be a lot more

    just had a blow out

seen similar with excess camber and very low profile tyres. check the weight rating on the tyre, seen some that can't cope with a car over 1000kg

    Steering creek.

pretty normal on most cars, it's just the rack reaching it's travel limit, and the hydraulic valves get a bit noisy

    Another question about AST coilovers

trouble is, it's so cheap to get reasonable coilovers for the road now, there's not much point

    Another question about AST coilovers

I think you're right tbh, I'd love it if KYB made some AGX (adjustable damping) shocks. I've used them on other cars for years

Jacking up the car using the subframe!

well i use proper jacks with large saddles. Issues come from using small jacks with tiny saddles that concentrate the load.

    Colder spark plugs required. Help?

yes. depends what boost you're running, and how cold you're going though ;) dont go colder than you need, you may coke the plugs up during gentle driving. It will clear if you do, but you'll get a bit of a hesitation until it cleans itself up.

    Colder spark plugs required. Help?

http://www.sparkplugs.co.uk/pages/technical/NGK-spark-plug-code.htm guide to understanding sparkplugs. use the ones i've stated TBH, i've used them in a wide variety of cars. They're cheap and they work perfectly every time

    Colder spark plugs required. Help?

    if you're using NGK, just change the number from a 6 to a 7 or 8 ;) BCPR7ES or BCP8ES will be perfect sparkplugs.com ;)
