this car is just couple of miles up the road from me, he had it up for 4995 at first, also sold on ebay at 2850 but then relisted. i emailed and asked some questions, only had it couple of months, also its had a full bare metal respray so he says hence why no rust, 8 previous owners. im...
yes, 2 holes, just bought mine and its all ready to go on but the weather put a stop to it at the weekend as it was snowing and chucking with rain all weekend, hopefully this weekend. will be putting it on the hard setting. will post up my opinion of how it drives after. hoping its going to...
going to fit this tomorrow weather permitting (heavy snow forcast for edinburgh) anyway, what setting should i go for, medium or hard? what affect does the hard setting have on the handling? will it be really twitchy at the rear or just even more planted? cheers.
iv got ramps, so is it easier to remove bolts etc if the wheels are on a set of ramps rather than hanging if u used axle stands? struts were replaced a few months ago so bolts should be ok to remove.
going to attempt to fit this myself over the weekend, what tools are required? just a standard socket set? i presume its best to put the rear up on axle stands? is it an easy job?
lol at all those mods and money spent for no increase in bhp. or if you believe whats on here maybe 5bhp. these threads make me realise spending any cash on engine mods is pointless. strip it and improve handling is the way forward.
v power will make f*ck all difference to bhp. if u want more bhp heres what to do, sell it, buy something faster, preferably with a turbo, then tune it , and see proper gains. on a clio, better spending money on handling, make it more fun to drive, and also strip it out a bit, save weight.
just bought one for my ph1 172, hopefully should compliment the new renault shocks and eibach springs. got new hankook v12 tyres fitted to it last saturday, put a k&n in the standard airbox, now im after a nice cat back system to replace the standard item and also get a set of matched inlets...
hope they give u the 100% mate, dont see why after offering u 95%. cant believe a gearbox has gone at that mileage. i really like the 197's as well but this gearbox issue puts me off buying one.
car has new renault shocks and eibach springs, handles like a dream, rest of car is standard bar a k&n in the standard airbox. iv just bought new hankook evo v12 tyres for it as the fronts were shot, so what next for best bang for buck? choices.........
exhaust
matched inlets
whiteline...
my front tyres are shot, on standard 15" rims, they were michelins, not sure how old they are as iv only had the car 3 months, so what tyre should i go for?? been on blackcircles and camskill, prices pretty good for the size 195/50/15. any suggestions, as there are loads to choose from...
notice any improvements to performance with the new inlets fitted?? cant decide whether to get these or not for my phase 1 172 or get a whiteline arb instead.
i have one of these brand new in my garage i got with my williams a few years ago, 195/50/15, and my ph1 172 could do with new front tyres, so im wondering if you can still get these so i can buy one to match??
