why lol?
Think about it, a small bore hose is a restriction, that causes high pressure in the hose. The relief valve will see the higher pressure in the line first as it's right after the pump, so it will open up. That in turn means the pressure wont be maintained in the engine, and at the...

when you say there's marks on the engine, it could be factory stuff. They use a couple of different coulours of paint pen to mark things to show it's been through QC, what shift etc
oil pressure drop would be due to using too small bore hoses, meaning the pressure relief valve in the pump opened earlier, ie high pressure in the lines, but not in the engine
1. you need a thermostatic plate or you'll never get the oil up to temperature, end of story.
2. oil temp needs to be measured in the sump to have any real worth
IF it's that, it's cambelt off, cams out, track down which one it is (easier said than done) replace the faulty part, check for any wear on the cams that could have happened, and re-assemble. It's a medium sized job, probably 4-5 hours at a guess

no way will you get anything on there that wont strangle the performance. those socks are on too far by the way, fit them so they're only just on the trumpet
the Aux belt is what runs things, powered by the engine. Power steering, alternator etc. Different to the cambelt
Guessing it's a diesel as it says 1.5 under your name
