as with pretty much anything, you'll get the best out of these things if you use mods that compliment each other. As you rightly say the ports are small, so enlarging and matching these whilst re-working the plenum for the large body works well. I'm personally not in a position to post graphs...
we dont give final power estimates any longer as we can't guarantee the state of the engine before, I'm sure you know how variable these engines are even from the factory. Also depends on other factors like exhaust choice which our package has no control over. It also completely depends on the...
Needs to go hand in hand with a re-map. I've seen loss of power by just bolting on a bigger body (on other marques), but if you map for the extra air you're onto a winner. You do have to be careful to strike a balance between size of butterfly, and throttle control. Much bigger than 70mm and the...
losses aren't done as a percentage, it can't be done, just the condition of a gearbox can make a huge difference to transmitted power. Losses are measurable if a dyno is used correctly, dont ask me how though lol.
well, to their credit they're being semi honest. If they do it like that it will last about a year before you get bubblinig again. They could certainly do a better job than that though, it's always best to cut rust out as it is in the metal rather than on the surface
I'd honestly wait until you need something else done. it's majorly easier with the head off. Ideally done at the same time as portwork and cams IMO. The subframe still needs dropping but it's a lot easier at this stage
get your credit report from experian. it might be something against someone at your address that's stopping you from getting the finance. I've had this trouble before and had to write a letter of financial dis-association. didn't take too long to fix :)
No, but sometimes you need to prove there's a problem that needs more than some fine tuning.
In the real world, you wont fit an inlet with runners of significant length in the bay without following the route that the standard inlet does. Yes shorter straight runners from an inlet sat out...
lean running, excessive ignition advance (unsuitable for the compression ratio or octane of fuel). could be as simple as an ht lead on the wrong cylinder or an injector faulty.
highly doubtful, but i'll try it tomorrow for you. The 172/182 inlet isn't that bad at all really, quite a nice constant bend rather than any 90deg stuff
not done mounts on a saxo so not sure how they go together. If the clutch is really bad it could be falling apart and causeing inbalance. guess if it's coming apart to do that you'll find out if the mount is loose too
