Gents it's massively pissed me off tbh and it's caused me more grief than I can be bothered with, so this is why it's now a consideration. It was built to do one thing - set a fast laptime at the ring. And it failed. Miserably because it shat itself.
There's only one other person who knows what...
Lol! You've got more patience than I have!!
No mate there's no real urgency to fix it or sell it, but I know what I'd want to replace it with. Just need to have a long think about it all.
Problem is, I see it everytime I go in the garage and it pisses me off. Plus, once the baby arrives, I'm...
Lol - well compared to your problems along the years, I suppose that reads as a normal weekend!
At this moment in time, the thought to break it up and move on has crossed my mind more than once, so time will tell I guess.
A sensible offer on the engine would see it all shifting on I think.
Hello Dave! Yeah bit of a shitter all round really, but onwards and upwards I suppose. I was supremely confident of a fast laptime too, but it just wasn't meant to be.
If it was to go s**t or bust in the uk I can use my AA recovery to get me home anyway! Lol!
Glad to hear the box and hubs are...
The in car footage is far from spectacular tbh mate. I was still getting dialled in with the car, so far from perfect. I think there's one video with a big under steer moment at Breidscheid too. 🙈
Ok, so thanks to @BIGASH , here's a video of me chasing a bmw M4 through Brünnchen. This was lap one on Saturday morning.
Got some of the pics he took throughout the weekend to upload as well.
Piece of piss mate. You just need someone that can ally weld mate to add the mounting pegs on the bottom of the rad.
That's how they come from kenlowe mate.
I'm on one of the golf rads mate, but no it's not a tight squeeze. They're much slimmer than the original. That's a 524mm wide core. You'd be fine with a 12" fan tbf mate
I have a set of twin 10" kenlowe fans blowing through my rad in a 'push' setup.
Most aftermarket rad fans can be mounted using the 'strap' method. They're just cable ties pretty much, and they pass through the fins on the core and are secured on the other side.
Yeah me too tbh. I have actually got some enthusiasm for ripping the box out and seeing what's let go. Curiosity more than anything.
And relax! Lol!
Cheers mate.
Well a massive thanks to @LeeP86 the cup made its journey up the uk back to me in style! It's now home and tucked up in the garage. It's nice to finally draw a line in the sand and put this trip behind me.
The cup will return.
When you're balls deep mate, there's no other way!
Lol! Tbf, @BIGASH was the real saviour of my sanity mate.
Funnily enough, I thought the exact same thing when it was on the wrecker!
Yeah that's what kind of weekend that we were having in terms of bell ends on the circuit. The amount of...
Well I'm not known for being one to keep my cool mate I'll be honest, but I think it was the shock of 'oh s**t, how are we gonna get home' more than anything that stopped me panelling it! Lol!!
So that wasn't a tasty enough update for you?! Is that what you're telling me?! Flol!! :tearsofjoy...
The main thing is that everyone concerned is home and safe - the driveshaft could've taken the block or sump out for a start, so I'm very thankful that it didn't!
Yeah that was a ridiculously close call mate. All on video in full hd.
Yeah tell me about it mate! If it could go wrong, it did go wrong. It then just gathered momentum and continued!
No point getting rid mate tbh. I'd only get bored if I had nothing to do anyway.
