Well from that one picture I can see that it's not in reverse and it's definitely not in 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th from the position of the shafts, and there's also a bit of wear on the synchro ring for 5th gear. 😂
If you zoom in on one of the images, you can see the spring clip that I am...
That my friend is not in any gear at all! You've managed to get the selector hub to go beyond its usual position.
All is not lost though!! If you look inside the selector hub down the 3 relief grooves, you'll see that there's a spring clip. Get a thin electricians screwdriver and pry it...
Yeah mine also started doing this after the latest software update. I found it was happening specifically when I was out walking the dog and the phone got cold from me looking on the net whilst walking.
Did the let it drop to 0% and charged to 100% a few times and its (touch wood) been ok since.
Ring Renault Wolverhampton and speak to George. Give him one of those gearbox codes from above and he will get you the part numbers along with a price. Just tell him I sent you.
If you can't get any joy, tag me and I'll fire him an email.
No problem. You will save yourself a few £'s mate, but you'll struggle to halve the price imo. If you are fitting it yourself, obviously you have no labour charges to pay, but keep yourself open to a drive in drive out service from the likes of engine dynamics.
If it's from efi - it'll be good mate. No ifs, no buts, no maybes.
Scoff is by far one of the best mappers out there, and my first hand experience with him is that he will leave no stone unturned.
Either way, you won't be disappointed mate.
I had the forge hoses on mine and they came with a set of jubilee clips. The clamps on the Renault hoses are fine for normal rubber, but I'd definitely replace them if using silicone hoses.
