Personally i wouldnt replace the rear quarter glass for plastic, Im pretty sure like the windscreen they are part of the structual strength of the car which is why they are bonded and not fitted with rubber seals. I could be wrong but it came from a fairly reliable source.
IMO sportlines make the car look crap, Clio's look like there nose diving enough already without adding sportlines, they basically lower the front and do naff all to the back.
Keep it standard or put coilovers on basically. And as for the Apex slagging if you use them with uprated dampers...
What size master cylinder should a 172/182 have. The bosch one i has is 22mm is this the correct size? has 2 ports on it.
Also which port is for the front and the rear?
Thanks
Mike.
Looking at mine it doesnt look like they have done anything to the actual axle itself. its just different shims on the stub axles to change the toe and camber.
If it was from a dealer then i would id deffinatly be taking some sort of action against them, with the proof you have got id say you would have a good chance of getting it sorted. I didnt realise you had any proof before.
You should of really specified performance tyres, or just had them knock money off the car. In general extra tidy up or maintenance work done by garages selling cars is done on the cheap as they dont want to eat into there profit. Id rather have money off the price and do the work myself or get...
I doubt there is anything you can do. Unless you have something in writing ie: letter or email from the garage saying they didnt do the work then its your word againts there's. There is no way you can accuratley proove if the cambelt has been changed or not.
Only thing i can suggest is that...
If you have money to waste then id go for it especially over ITB's. But as with all things expensive and competition related to be able to afford it you need to have enough money to maintain it.
They are easy to use not clunky or crunchy like people have said. Being semi helical and not...
195/50/15, 45's are too small for 15" wheels considering clio sports come standard with 45 profile tyres on 16's. Plus 195/50/15 is probably the cheapest tyres size you can get.
Dont get Parada's either there shite, go for one of the following tyres from Camskill.
- Michelin PE2's @ £54.15

Hi,
I want to get my flywheel lightened then balanced in conjunction with the clutch cover. Can somewhere recomend me somewhere decent to have this done?
Thanks
Mike.
Hi, seen a car advertised locally to me. But its a phase 1 and the adverts says its a cup.. Is there such thing as a phase 1 172 cup? or is the advertiser clueless.
Yeah cheers i thought about 420's, but been as in the future im going to upgrade for higher lift items im going to buy a standard renault cam and put the money i would of spent on 420's towards the higher lift cams.
Yeah i was pretty shocked to say the least.
Would love billet cams but because its a cup racer you cannot remap the ecu, and i cant afford cams, remap, and a new ecu right now. So standard renault cam it will have to be.
Any idea if this would be causing the tapping noise i have been...
How did you come to notice there was an issue with the car for the mechanic to diagnose the crack came lobe?
Ive just encountered the same issue on my car and my was making a tapping noise which sounded like a faulty tappet, is this the noise you had aswell?
Thanks
Mike.
Took my head apart today to look for what i thought to be a failed tappet. But look what i found..
Pretty sure this is the cause of the tap i was receiving, the tap was coming from in the same are i located the tap down to use a mechnics stephascope. Anybody hear of this happening on an F4R...
Would like an RS Ragnotti. Even though its just a 172cup with some badges on being the limited edition of the the legend that is Jean Ragnotti really makes me want one.
Right ok thanks for clearing that up. going to keep an eye out for a used MF4M, would i be right in saying one from a Super 1600 would be usless to me as the engines power output is limited?
Appreciate the help Icarus.
I wonder if R.Sport would have an origional. Will have to look into it. Would it not be possible to swap the eprom from one ECU to another? Im not overly clued up on ECU's so excuse my lack of knowledge.
Thinking about it though as i want to run ITB's will the origional calibration be of any...
