The noise you thought/think is/was the bumper catching is the front wheels on the bracket for the bumper phil. Could even be the tyre rubbing on the arch's. Mine does the same thing. Try raising your front suspension mate.
It's where the stub axles usually mount on the axle that will be out mate. You may even find your rear axle is slightly bent, but that's the worst case scenario of course.
They're all slightly out mate tbh. Check your rear wheel bearings have no play as well, as this can give false readings if they have play.
If you run toe out at the rear remember it WILL try and swap ends. You'll get a fair amount of lift off oversteer as well mate. For fast road I'd stick...
Luckily for me mine are removable - albeit a right b*****d to do so!! I'm there the weekend of the dtm as well. If they don't let me on and get funny I'll tell them the Jews and the gas chamber joke. Bound to go down a storm! :quiet:
All in good time my friend!
Thanks mate, appreciate the comments. The general consensus is that they aren't so bothered about the door bars (which I have, the x style) but the ears on seats and snap off steering bosses are the big no no as it stands. I know a lot of guys that run door bars and...
I put my assistance adjuster knob in the plastic surround for the handbrake. It sits under the handbrake very nicely and gives easy access to do any adjustment without the need to reach forward.
Strapped in a bucket seat = can't reach for jack s**t! Lol
Thanks Russ! It's in the write up at the beginning, but my current btg time is 8:39 on hankook s1 evo road tyres. This year will be my first year on 15's and r888's so a realistic aim is sub 8:30. I aim to get there for as soon as the track opens so there's less traffic on tf days and go out to...
^^^ As that man above says mate. It's a genuine 197/200 cup racer roof vent. I fitted it because it just gets far to hot in the car during the summer months due to perspex windows that don't open, and tbh the little pop-it vents in the front and rear qtr windows ain't worth a w**k!! They bring...
I'm running a genuine grp n ecu mate so I've never bothered with the stock ecu on it since its had the grp n settings on the timing. Just advancing the inlet alone will improve mid range, but it'll be on the bones of it's arse higher up the rpm band.
Thanks!
nah you can buy gay little screwdriver style torque wrenches. We have to use them at work. It's also imperative that you drink pimms whilst using them! Lol
Yes mate I do indeed have a friendly tester. It's de-catted as well so it's difficult to say how much it affects emissions. Yeah inlet is advanced and exhaust is retarded. The ecu has its idle speed set at 1200rpm to try and smooth the tickover out, but you can just tell something's a bit different.
You'll have to bare with me though before I get some interior shots! Lol
Not really much to say about the full spec dan. It's running a full grp timing/ecu setup on the engine, stripped out and caged interior with recaro pole positions and a set of revalved kw v2's. There's a little more to...
Thanks James!
It most certainly is that mate!
Thank you swede! I'm going off if the tyres give me a second a mile at the ring, I'm well in to my target time of sub 8:30 tbh. Probably take a few sighters to get a feel for the 888's, then it's time to go chase the bigger boys! Lol
Thank you...
I've done around 300 odd laps around the ring mate and I've been going over there for years! I can remember back in the day when it was rare to see another uk registered car over there, but now they're commonplace! Lol!
In answer to your question, I'm very very familiar with the ring mate! I...
