Gearbox issues tend to arise from people basically having Zero mechanical sympathy.
my 182’d Kangoo has a crunching from 2nd to 3rd but I’ve done about 5 track days in it and I kick it’s head in every day. It NEVER crunches when I drive it. Ever.
But as soon as someone else drives it, hey...
Reliability shouldn’t scare you. The engines in the Clio’s are pretty much bomb proof. Plenty around with over 200k on them.
buy one based on condition and service history and not what the Speedo says.
Cambelt is a big expensive job and due every 5yrs/72k. Budget 6-700 to have it done at a...
I ordered ‘The walking Dead, saints and sinners’ at Xmas and I can hand on heart say it’s the most stressful game I’ve ever played.
It’s terrifying. Both me and my son managed about 15 minutes before we had to take the headset off.
Its scary, it’s stressful, it’s gory… it’s one hell of a game...
I understand why you feel like that, I sold my 200 after only a year. But I can’t put my finger on why.
The mk3 is the better road car and it’s an even better track car, but I think they just lack the fizz you get with the mk2’s.
Thought of this thread last night, whilst being very late for an appointment…
182 engined Kangoo van, 195/50/15 Hankook V12 Evo tyres, and the progress I was making in really cold/damp/salted road conditions was mental. Really really impressed with them.
not really driven on them in the dry...
Breaking it is a massive ball ache - not to mention very few people need parts for ph1’s now.
if you have somewhere to store it, just lock it away and go back to it once you’ve cleared your head.
i did the same thing - and locked mine away for about 9 years - and it was 100% worth it.
There’s a banging B&B we stay in for Oulton. Owner’s a proper petrol head and he’s got a really secure driveway so big that you could park 10 arctic lorries on it. Literally 5 mins away too.
No. f**k off.
in all seriousness, it’s a properly relaxed and very funny weekend. You should 100% lob a tent in the back of the car and bring your mates. (As long as they all buy tickets!)
All in good time mate. Still a LOT of work to be done but we just wanted to get the date out there so that you can all tell your mums that you’re staying out for the weekend.
It is a lot of money but it won’t break.
We had a cheap one before (I say cheap, it was still about £1000) and it was so bloody flimsy.
with this one you can properly stamp on the brake pedal with no worry of it breaking (they’re hydraulic) you have to really hold on to the steering wheel or...
Post pics of your track dedicated clio, where you live, your regular track and your favourite track.
I’ll start;
Based in Bristol so I’m always up at Castle Combe in the car but done a few days around the country in the van.
My favourite track so far is Oulton Park.
The 182 converted Kangoo...
