This new 206 should provide some decent competition to the 172.
Its got a rated 177 DIN bhp @ 7000 and...
Can anyone please provide me the following details of the 172.
Horsepower in bhp @ rpm:
Torque in lb-ft @ rpm:
Max engine speed in rpm:
Ideal rpm to drop the clutch on launch:
Gear ratios:
Final drive ratio:
Car test weight in lb:
Weight on front wheels as a percentage:
Wheelbase in...
Just a question about the bhp rating for NOS.
Does a 50bhp rating mean the car will perform as though the engine is 50bhp more powerful than it is without NOS...ie. 99bhp without NOS, 149bhp with 50bhp NOS installed onto the same engine.

Ive been toying with the idea too.
Wouldnt do the side strips though. Makes the car look to bland...I like a little contrast. (black on silver) but doing the bumpers and do handles is something I think would really enhance the look of my car.

What is the rated power for a 1.2 16V at the wheels?
What is the same for a 1.4 16V?
Im estimating the 1.4 to weigh 2700 with driver, and have 86bhp at the wheels...could one realistically expect a q/m in 18.3 seconds @ 74mph?
Considering youre saying a 1.2 could do it in 19.3 @ 70mph

I just cant help myself with this one...sorry
I reckon the quickest way to come up with the cash would be to get down to some seedy street corner and sell your body.
no offense meant...honest

My first was a white 1993 VW Citi Golf 1800 SPORT. (70kW / 150Nm)
Loved that car from the first day I saw it.
Then got a crappy Opel Corsa 160iS
Now i have my Clio

I wouldnt like to test brakes by keeping the brakes to the floor and gearing down...would skid to easily...braking in my mind is a dynamic exercise where the driver needs to constantly monitor and changes the amount of braking to keep the car just below the verge of skidding.
Anders, Yep, I think the good Captain has got a spreadsheet to do the same job. I was trying to see how acurate the program I had was. I think the result is power at the wheels.
Ive added some other DOS based programs which I either havent tried yet or dont work properly under XP.
