its the oil an water emulsifyin(sp) if your coolant level is not movin an is the correct colour it may just be moisture under the cap! You can buy strips you dip in your coolant and it changes colour if there is oil present but if your gasket had gone i think it would be worse!
im not a reno...
ive only ever jumped between the two insurance compnies cos if they think you a new or returnin customer they can give you bigger discount than a renewin 1!
I swapped my 1.4 8v for a 172 in Oct as i turned 22 in the sept. my insurance is not unreasonable! Only went up by £350. 2 yrs NCB an 1 claim 3 yrs ago!
would sound to me like the head gasket mate, if the level has gone right down its possible the gasket went the other way! check your dipstick for water contamination!
nick hill can do a group n for the 172, this is the same as the rsport 1 but works the above! they are about £260 fitted! boyo started a post in ext/perf with more info!
my instructions read.....
Step three: Flush the filter with warm water from clean side of the filter to the dirty side
Not callin you a liar mate just readin wot mine says!
doesnt say soapy water tho! just says to use the air cleaner additive then use the dirt retention additive.
after my recent engine problems the viper was drenched in engine oil! Is it now buggered as the phrase goes? ive got a piperX cleanin kit but im worried the engine oil will have damaged the foam!
Cheers
