Nice what duct did you use? I'm after a cheap solution for some brake ducting. How much did it cost you and do you use and deflectors or just angle the ducting towards the disc/calipers.

Just wondering how big my spreader plates should be that go under the legs of my rear roll cage? As big as poss to spread as much load as possible? I'm not using box section as the cage fits upto the roof as it is so was going to make up some plates in work from what steel plate we have lying...
If its just a track car why don't you try that plasti dip, seen someone on here had a full car done for £350. not sure how much you would pay for a cheap spray though or how long the plasti dip last's.

I have AD08r and don't have a problem on the road not noisy and even though they were on it when I bought the car and they're right on the marker (not sure how many miles they have done) I will be finishing them off on track in nicer weather but I have just bought some PS3 in 195/50/15 for about...
Yeah its ERW main reason is I wanted a Harness bar (so I don't have to use the Isofix mount) but this was cheaper than the harness bar and offers some protection in a roll ever. I've been in a few cars that have rolled over (not on the road I might add) and with my mate who races banger and...
Well my dad's got arms like popeye since I asked him to do me a 'quick' favor lol think I'll remind the powder coater to mask off next time haha @bloke
No mate not a show cage. I'm just going to be using spreader plates inside on the floor/rear arches and underneath the car and may weld them to the floor inside the car.
I originally wanted a harness bar for my harnesses to be on save using the isofix mount and seen this thought it was I better...
I have just taken mine out as I was leaking water into the boot through them, turns out boot lid needed adjusting as it was rattling a little and the rubber stubs were not pushing on them enough. But I also broke the tabs on the back so I'm also interested in a couple of these.

was going to try both of those methods BUT I was hoping to get it powder coated tomorrow, guess I will have to wait and borrow a bottle jack from work and do it that way. OR I have a mate with a tube/pipe bender would it be worth me trying to roll it through something like that to get that leg...
Fitted my roll cage in just too see where it all lines up and need one of those spreaders to well spread the front legs apart, as the passenger one is about 4-6" out of shape/position.
Thanks mate might take you up on the offer if I get stuck. Just trying to offer the cage in to mark out where it fits. Either that or clean the powder coat of the hub face on the speed lines I've just had powder coated. Think the cage will be easier lol
Gonna try some wet n dry on my dad's rotary polisher see it that will take the hubs back to metal.
Also put the speedline stickers on didn't wanna cut the decal up so just used the full piece with corse left on.
Guess I need to try and find a way of cleaning the hub faces. I was only thinking of the spigot hole last night and thought about it fitting. Lol can't catch a break so far. If I had known I would have told them to mask them up.
Will this cause me any problem on track would you say? I am thinking of running stud kit (eBay: http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=191480032049&alt=web) but if I don't get them on before my first couple of days I will be checking the wheel nuts when I get back to the pits after a few...
I have bought some decals to stick back on them off eBay managed to get the closest colour match to original I could so hopefully stick them on over the weekend.
I'm gonna give them a few coatings of ceramic wheel armour too protect them.
Any ideas on the best way to clean the face that mounts to the hub. I REALLY don't wanna damage the powder coat lol. Just need to get my stud kit ordered and test fit my rear cage and hopefully get it off to the...
Just picked them up from the local powder coaters who will be doing my cage. A million times better than the idiot who refurbished them first and made a total mess of them (twice)
I'm calling over (I'm not running on the rolling road though) with a mate who's got a tuned Fiesta ST convinced him to put it on the rollers if there is space left when he turns up. Weather permitting might get my dad to come in his car no dyno run for him though (Quattro so can't run on the 2wd...
I'm also wanting to relocate the battery but was going to try and get a 3 series (BMW) cable but looking at the price of the bits in the link above probably wont be any cheaper sourcing 2nd hand bits, plus don't we get some discount (http://www.cliosport.net/pages/discounts/) at demon tweeks it...
Thanks Chi, I did call up my dads and try and rock the engine didn't budge. Found a bolt that screws into the end of the bracket on the back box so gonna try that. :)
Happy Days anyway.
cheers dann (lol at the drawing :P) and do you know what size nut the thread takes? (actually its a powerflow back box so may not have it i'll have to check)
