Bump started it so I could take it out for a spin been sat on the drive for almost 3 weeks, Took it out for half hour but need to take the battery out and put it in the house on charge and just remembered I need to fill the washer bottle up lol.
Think I'll have to next time I'm out and about lol I'm hoping to find out if I'm gonna be getting a garage soon round the corner from where I live (nice hiding place so the missus doesn't see what I buy haha)
I've been to EFI too see a car he mapped (and took a passenger ride) and seems a top guy who knows his stuff would have no hesitation in taking a car there. @Chi
I was watching a set of bodies eBay last week lol £700 but never sold, love the noise they make haha and since I bough the track car I have wanted to sell my beemer and buy a ITB or Turbo Clio as a daily because I don't need a big car since I bought my missus a bigger car for ferrying her and...
Nice review, would consider some on my spare set of wheels once they are back from being refurbished after this review, I have just bought 4 x Michelin Pilot Sport 3 for £49 each http://www.mytyres.co.uk/cgi-bin/rshop.pl?dsco=110&cart_id=82323689.110.25035&s_p=Tyres in 195/50/15 (not fitted as I...
Anyone bought these yet thinking about them for my track car but just worried as they hold my wheels on don't fancy skimping lol was going to order a set from Pure motor sport or somewhere like that
I've just changed my headlight bulbs back to standard after removing a HID kit and they were H7 for the main, not sure what sides as they have LED in them
Just don't have the £600+ that a cage costs at the moment. I know a member on here is selling a safety devices one but @ £550 then I would have to buy a fixing kit which is another £75. Was hoping this would be a easy fix for now and also double up as a rear strut brace
Would something like this be any good for mounting harnesses too would be fully welded on like in the picture. Mainly until I get a cage after I've done a couple of track days. My missus dad is a top class welder (highly qualified and experienced) so have no qualms with the quality of the work...
That's the stuff I was thinking of lol we have it round work all over the garage and our engine room couldn't remember where else I had seen it (off to google skateboard grip tape) Thanks @clancy
Well I'm going to hopefully soon be stripping my interior and carpets out my 172 and wanted to know if anybody knows where I can buy the things in the foot well of the picture I've attached? If not I may attempt to make my own with some ply and sandpaper type stuff like the Anti slip stuff they...
Surely he should have checked for tar and what not before he dipped it? even wiped over the car with something to make sure all the panels are clean. Other than the problems you mention for £350 its not a bad price I would consider it for a track car if I fancied something to make me more...
I'm really beginning to like the PH1, even though my track 172 is my first proper little hot hatch (had a mk4 R32 when I was 20 but it wasn't exactly little lol) now I'm 28 and bought my 127 cup for track I think damn I missed out lol
That's what I'm gonna do when I go a nice track day when it's hot, how low can you run them down before you need to change? I assume it's just down to how they feel not tread depth and weather conditions. Think the fronts are about 1.5mm ish.
I've had the same dilemma for a week now trying to decide what to put on my track 172 cup I have a spare set of wheels and in the end I have put Michelin Pilot Sport 3 on them for now as I'm new to track days and my first few will be Jan/Feb and I doubt I'll get to the limits on my first few...
How much did they charge you? Might just wait before I get the corner weight and height done, just hate having a toy sat there and not being able to use it much lol.
Nothing @Chi just having the alignment checked etc when I put the speedlines and new tyres on, it pulls slightly to the left not sure if it's the quaife diff that gives it that feeling or the tracking road was pretty flat so it was just something I wanted checking (could be that I get outta my 1...
