Finally got my Speedlines refurbished

  Track 172 Cup
Just picked them up from the local powder coaters who will be doing my cage. A million times better than the idiot who refurbished them first and made a total mess of them (twice)

I'm gonna give them a few coatings of ceramic wheel armour too protect them.

Any ideas on the best way to clean the face that mounts to the hub. I REALLY don't wanna damage the powder coat lol. Just need to get my stud kit ordered and test fit my rear cage and hopefully get it off to the coaters on Monday.

Look great! Are you going to put the 'speedline' stickers on as well or leaving plain?

I have bought some decals to stick back on them off eBay managed to get the closest colour match to original I could so hopefully stick them on over the weekend.

  dan's cast offs.
roloc disc in a die grinder to get the coating off the hub mating face, but you're going to struggle like hell to get it out of the bolt hole taper!! also you might have trouble if the coating is thick in the spigot hole.

shame they didn't mask them up before they coated them.

Guess I need to try and find a way of cleaning the hub faces. I was only thinking of the spigot hole last night and thought about it fitting. Lol can't catch a break so far. If I had known I would have told them to mask them up.

Gonna try some wet n dry on my dad's rotary polisher see it that will take the hubs back to metal.

Also put the speedline stickers on didn't wanna cut the decal up so just used the full piece with corse left on.

wet and dry won't touch it sorry. also you shouldn't need to tell a coaters to mask things up, with wheels they should do it automatically.

Well my dad's got arms like popeye since I asked him to do me a 'quick' favor lol think I'll remind the powder coater to mask off next time haha
