My 182 manifold and cat' are on their way as we speak. My BenR'd inlet and plenum arrived yesterday.
1st question: Shall I fit all at once ie. will the exhaust manifold me easier to fit with the inlet removed?
2nd question? What is the actual process for fitting the exhaust manifold? Does...
Very nice car mate. I thought you'd spun it when I first saw you turning outside the Aagrah.
I couldn't believe how quickly the V6 picked up and fooked off. I felt like I was waiting an age for mine to go anywhere. She was stone cold though.
The wheel on my 172 had recently started to split on the back of the right thumb grip. The damage was nothing major but it was irritating and would only get worse.
I soon realised that the issues were down to the fact that the grip wasn't actually attached to the wheel and could be compressed...
I'm sure I have read that it is worth doing the water pump as a precautionary measure. I know it is not run off of the cambelt but i'm sure I remember it being much easier with the belts off.
Car is on 48k and 5 years BTW.
How much is a water pump likely to set me back from Renault and GSF?
I love this weather. The car stays clean for days and a wash only takes an hour or so.
No new mods as yet. The next pics will probably show my matched and polished inlet and plenum and my 182 manifold with decat, all of which are on their way.
Comments welcome, as long as they're positive.
I'm about to hand over the beans for a 182 manifold but the cat' is available as well.
From what I have read, I gather that the 182 mani' leaves a gap between the 182 cat' and the 172 and that you simply need a link pipe to make up the difference.
Can someone confirm this is correct?
A good idea. I'm not sure what Middo pays for his. The font doesn't look 100% though.

What parts are needed for a 172 cambelt and aux' belt change? I have found the following for the aux' belt:
Idler p/n 8200 065 479
Belt p/n 8200 226 493
Tensioner p/n 8200 429 703
Does anyone have part numbers for the cambelt and fitting kit and also costs for the above and the cambelt...
My 172 is coming up to its' 48k service and I am going to have the cambelt changed early along with the auxilary belt which I have postponed by 12k.
A friend will also needs his doing shortly so we already have two people interested.
If I were to arrange a group buy on this in the Yorkshire...
If I were to fit 7mm spacers to my 172, I would have 13mm of thread still protruding into the hub. Would those in the know say that this is acceptable?
Not sure I have done the right thing but it's only cost me £4.50. Thoughts?
The holes left by the original badge are 7mm across and 85mm apart centre to centre.
Check this sh!t. I remember reading about them years ago and I had a few pic's but I've just found this:

Not sure it ever made production.
My renewal is due soon on my 172. I currently pay £697 with Flux but have been paying annually at £67 PM which equates to £802 annualy and approximately 15% interest.
I have listed the mods below, 1 or 2 aren't listed on my current policy as I intend to carry them out in the near future but...
I am wanting to fit the new Clio badge to my 172 but require a few measurements.
I need the width and height of each letter if possible and also the width of the vetrical on the 'C' and the same on the 'O'.
I need these details as I have to ensure the pin holes left by the current badge will...
Picked the new badge up today. I paid the bargainous price of £17.25 all inc. I've added a little timeline below as I also removed the factory fitted number plate carrier. What a mess that has made of the paintwork where it has rubbed and vibrated.
I'm going to refurb my Turinis myself I think. Apologies for the attrocious pictures, the digital camera is dead so have had to use my phone.
Now I know the kerbing isn't highly visible on these pictures but it is there.
Wheel 3 is the best, then 4, then 1 and 2 is the worst. The...
Evening mate,
A friend has just bought a set of Turinis which could do with some TLC as could mine. Could you get a quote for all eight to be refurbed in the original silver?
Do you also arrange delivery/return to from Leeds and tyre removal refitting?
Pictures of the new wheels attached...
I've always wanted one of these and they are quite cheap these days. I'm bored of my K800i and the features may be useful for work.
Does anyone have any experiences?
I've been thinking about an alarm of some description for some time. Now as I understand it, the factory fit CAT2 immobiliser can be upgraded to CAT1 status.
Which option would be the best value for money and what sort of figure are we looking at.
Ideally i want to still only have the...
Does anyone know a decent, cheap courier who could be used to ship a 17'' alloy and tyre to the UK?
It sounds like madness but the wheel I need for my girlfriends Alfa is on the 'bay for pence at the mo'. A rim and tyre combo in the UK would be around £220.
BIN only £20+ £3 P+P.
Looks like a 172 item to me as there are no etchings on the top of the knob.

Apparently the Accord Type R seats are the same design as those in the Trophy. They can be picked up for peanuts in comparison.

My girlfriends Alfa has always had a nagging little misfire at very low rev's. I have replaced all 8 spark plugs and cleaned the coil terminals which initially cured the problem but it has since returned.
I have now come to the conclusion that a coil is breaking down. Is there any way of...
I've always been interested to see what the difference would be with Cup dampers on my FF with Apex springs.
My current front dampers have done 47k and approx 10k on the Apex.
Would I see a big difference swapping to the Cup items which have done 14k?
My dad has just bought a new Dell PC for my grandparents as the old one was a little long in the tooth. A few issues have arisen during the transition:
1. The new machine doesn't have a modem built in and the modem in the old machine is an old Intel 28kpbs item. I searched for drivers on...
