Is it worth doing changing the water pump when cam/aux belts are done on 172?

I'm sure I have read that it is worth doing the water pump as a precautionary measure. I know it is not run off of the cambelt but i'm sure I remember it being much easier with the belts off.

Car is on 48k and 5 years BTW.

How much is a water pump likely to set me back from Renault and GSF?

Its a bit easier but personal on the 172/182 I woulnd't bother. I'd run the risk.

Pumps arn't that cheap there not bad priced but they don't need to be chnaged.

yeah .. rentech checked mine.. millage was 40k 5 years old.. and wasnt needed.
