I'm looking to remove the hazing and yellowing on my headlights and restore them to their former, crystal-clear glory.
Is there anyone skilled in the art that can help out (for a few ££)?
Many thanks.
Assuming it's parked considerately, is insured, taxed and tested and not in a restricted zone (pay and display or residents parking/ double yellows) then I'd Imagine you're within your rights to do as you please?
Maybe speak to the CAB?
Just been out to the car and popped up the n/s. It appears the disc may be very slightly warped. Could this be the culprit?
I have some spare Brembo HC's in the garage, so could fit them and test it, but would rather not if it's likely to be something else?
Thanks.
Thanks fellas.
Sure enough, there was loads of greas all over the ABS ring. Cleaned with brake cleaner and an old toothbrush and it seems to have gone away at high speed but is still present (though massively reduced) at low, low speeds.
The ABS ring was also -apparently- intact, though looked...
Hi guys,
Just bought my 172 and I've got a bit of a mystery: my ABS kicks in momentarily when I brake from literally any speed (5mph to 70mph).
This evening, I've removed all of the wheels, checked all of the calipers, pads and discs and they all seem fine. Actually, all of the consumables...
For the avoidance of doubt, I didn't give anyone grief.
I asked for a price > got a response > With a ball-park figure of what the parts I enquired about regularly go for, I moon-walked out of the conversation, chuckling.
When a full set of *used* interior trims have been more-or-less £20-40...
I just inadvertently messaged him to see about supply of some silver carbon (effect, no less!) dash strips for my 172.
The price?
£125 + postage.
What a mong.
Nothing wrong with the car (it's a VAG), however, last week a female mong dented the front n/s wing while trying to park.
Bolt-on wing from a breaker's - £40. 20 minutes later - like new again!
Re: ***How much is my car worth?***
Jay, the only thing I'd say is - if the power steering leak is such a minor fix, get it done and aim to get more back...
To my mind, £2200 seems an accurate assessment.
I'm currently looking for a new 172/182 and yours looks great, FWIW.
Another vote for Grado SR80's. Though, I felt they were a bit large and leaked too much sound while commuting so, I've just bought these:
Audio Technica ATH-ES55 and for £75 (Down from £90) they're an absolute steal.
Incredibly balanced and open-sounding for a closed, on-ear headphone.
Currently on Tier 5 with an R8 LMS and keep getting spanked over a quarter mile by some bawbag in a lower-rated Cobra Jet. Grrrrrr. Pro Tip: T5 - Get a Cobra Jet.
I've also just bought the latest game from Angry Birds creator, Rovio. It's called 'Amazing Alex' and it's actually pretty good...
It works using the iPad/ iPhone clock.
Disable wifi. Set clock 1h45m into the future and keep doing that until you're bored.
I played it for a few hours straight while sat in a departure lounge yesterday doing just that. Filled up, got back to the UK and allowed it to reconnect to the wifi and...
Re: iPhone 5 this October??
Similar width and thickness (I imagine, once the screen is on) and it looks like it's going to have a really odd screen ratio?
