Big time! :D The bugger is £38 eBay fees!
I've been looking at all of the completed listings from the last month or so, and I think I got top dollar.
If that had been a similar-age VAIO (top-spec PC notebook) you'd have been looking at about two-thirds of that value - You've got to love...
I recall reading a rumour (last week) that suggested:
- No retina display. Only 180ppi.
- No optical drive/ Ethernet port or FireWire - only USB & TB.
- Wedge-shaped form factor
- Whole wrist area as a gestural area/ touch pad.

So basically £1200? Good good!
Would you guys recommend eBay or is there somewhere better you'd use for selling it?
Ronnie, I'm selling it because I have just got a Mac Pro (through my work) and a new iPad and it's basically not getting used *at all*...
I realise that the new MBP's are just around the corner, but what do you guys reckon on the value of barely-used, late-2011 (purchased late Jan 2012) MacBook Pro 15". Still has the remainder of the Apple warranty (obviously)?
My thoughts are about £1100-1200...
Spec:
2.4GHz quad-core, Intel...
This looks superb and the resolution (the definition in the point cloud that the sensor creates) looks fantastic! Should get over some of the fine-gesture frustration I've had with the Kinect/ PrimeSense/ D-Imager.
Re: iPhone 5 this October??
The mock-up in Revels post makes it look like a flattened, rubberised 3GS (from the back) with the front from an SGS but with a droopy home button. No thanks.
Gallys pic looks the prettiest to my eye, buy it's unlikely to be that thin in reality.
I'd highly recommend one. The OS is actually magnificent and the multi-touch track-pad is a revelation - And, although there are some similarities between the platforms, using a windows-based laptop now feels a bit clunky and utilitarian in comparison.
I now have an uber Mac Pro for work so...
We've been developing some apps recently and have found the iPad 2 to be pretty similar to the new iPad in performance terms. Go for it, if you can live with the screen resolution (which is adequate for most people).
^ I'm 100% certain it didn't say that.
A small pop-up came up after the update process had completed that said something like:
"Apple malware 'FlashbackTrojan.iv' detected and removed - blah blah" and there was an 'OK' or 'Finish' button on the pop-up.
I used DK's technique for identifying an infection mentioned on the first page and got 'does not exist' on both counts.
Just installed the latest software update from Apple and it identified and removed Flashback from my system. Oh.
What could it have done?
Myst is a good shout - heard lots of good things about it. Same with Monkey Island.
A colleague downloaded Little Bang Adventure the other day and I've just had a butchers and it's utter w*nk. Maybe that's unfair and I need to give it a go?
He just mentioned Full Throttle or Day of the...
Not everyone's cuppa Darjeeling, I know, but I recently bought Machinarium and Broken Sword on my iPad and have loved them both.
Since playing through them, I've also noticed a bit of a resurgence in old-school point-and-click adventure games across platforms (Anyone seen how popular 'Double...
I enjoy casually making all kinds of music and I've just parted with 69p and bought 'Figure' by Propellerhead (Makers of Reason and Rebirth - both HUGE electronic music programs) and I have to say that it's brilliant. It still needs some additions (save/ export/ additional bars) - all apparently...
The £5 gel jobbie I bought from Amazon is actually pretty good (aside from the small but unsightly border) and will be a great stand-in until the correct-size Speck is available. Recommended.
I'm in need of a back cover and have been waiting for the Speck Smart Shell/ Incipio Smart Feather but they seem to be unavailable at the moment.
Anyone recommend a similar thin shell case for the rear? Needs to be compatible with a Smart Cover.
The last page kind of proved my point. A large proportion of potential iPad buyers/ existing owners simply don't want, need or care about the improvements!
This (a 3rd Gen) is my first iPad and I love it as it stands. Though I have read that the extra processing power is essentially to cater...
The difference in screen IS marginal - to 99% of people buying an iPad. Testament to how good the screen on the iPad2 actually is!
I went to Comet yesterday (apparently the only retailer locally with stock) to grab one for my parents. I immediately noticed a cluster of people at the Apple...
