    The VR thread

Might make the swap myself? Looks like the Vive Pro 2 headset alone is around the £300 mark on eBay. Looks like I'd have to go to the 512GB version for the pancake lenses - or else I'm just back into shitty FresnelLand with the lower models...

    The VR thread

IMO - the Fresnel lenses are that poor, it's strange as to why they even considered using them in manufacture? It literally is like looking out at the world while sat in the middle of a lighthouse lamp. It really isn't clear at all. Is the Quest 3 compatible with the likes of Steam for VR, do...

    Red Dead Redemption 2

A decent refresh rate is massively noticeable - and one that I struggle to do without. For the vast majority of the time, I'm using my monitor @ 144hz - but output to the TV at 60hz for the driving games. Occasionally, that 60hz precedence stays on the monitor as well, but you notice it in 2 or...

    Red Dead Redemption 2

Err - nah! Think I got it sorted. Looks like MSI Afterburner was set to an overly keen under-volt - leading to a false error message relating to a specific nVidia file. Strange though as Assetto Corsa Competizione is way more demanding hardware-wise and that hasn't bitched once. Removed...

    Oh, I would - apart from post #442. ;)

    Red Dead Redemption 2

There's a lot of other genres that just slot into the K&M control method much more easily though. RPG, aRPGS, strategy games, adventure, RTSs - the list goes on. I remember some RTS games being released on the PlayStation and thought that was mental. How anyone would even have the patience for...

    Red Dead Redemption 2

There’s a lot that a controller is better for. Anything like a platformer, basic racing game, etc. But with any FPS or 3rd person game - I find K&M to be way better. The precision alone is worth the effort over controller for me.

    Red Dead Redemption 2

Tried all of Rockwank's support suggestions. Two in particular relating to setting changes on the RDR2.exe - stop the game from even launching. Again - great testing there, guys. Some of them even make little sense from a software perspective. Like hearing knocking coming from the rear of your...

Yeah - f**k this game.

    Red Dead Redemption 2

I genuinely have never known anything like it in 40+ years of gaming. It's like Rockstar says "here's our control method. You don't like it - you don't play"

    Red Dead Redemption 2

Looks like I'll have to force myself to use a bloody controller with this - or simply not to play it at all. The PC version has 208 inputs for keyboard & mouse. I even had to re-read that again myself when I first saw it. What absolute levels of insane stupidity went into the development of the...

    The VR thread

Has anyone gone from the likes of the Vive 2 with the Fresnel lenses to another headset? My VR usage is minimal due to the absolute necessity of keeping your eyes forward without the periphery view being as blurred as hell. I just want to play a few racing games in VR without my eyesight...

Sim Rigs - Let’s see yours

So, I had a recent 'need' for having a monitor up above the TV that my racing seat is used with. Although I was fully expecting a Next Level Racing (NLR) tax for having an additional monitor setup, I didn't think it would be that bad. Yep - piss-takes aplenty. I enquired with NLR and got the...

    Happy birthday 182 - 20-years-old today

Got a little interior squeak from somewhere and I can't seem to apply any logic as to where its coming from or when and how it does it. Can do it driving smooth and straight, sometimes under braking, maybe cornering? I suspect it's something to do with the passenger seat, which is empty for 90%...

    Happy birthday 182 - 20-years-old today

Seems a long time ago since I picked it up new from Renault Manchester in Salford, with 7 delivery miles on the clock. 176k, three house moves and one divorce later - it's still my daily. Scary to think that I was 29 when I ordered it and 50 in twelve-days time. :) I even recall some...

    Assetto Corsa Competizione

Gave in and chucked the dev 15 Euros his way, last night - for the licence. Amazing that a single developer can produce such useful software and of such quality - where large studios struggle. Now considering methods of having an angled screen above the TV..... ;)

    Assetto Corsa Competizione

Not really looked into that recently - though I'll probably pick it back up.

    Assetto Corsa Competizione

Anyone tried the Fanatec App yet? Works well and is very slick. Quite handy to have some alternative information off to one side and not on the main screen itself. Also - surprised to realise that ACC is over 5 years old now. Crazy - still seems like a 'new' game to me.

182 rear quarter panel replacement - Part 1

Panels landed at the body-shop from France yesterday. Slightly impatient wait until the New Year before any work can start!

Panels now arrived from France. Slight impatient wait until the New Year now.

Non fault claim, what would you do?

90 days due to an arch liner?! 😄 I'm still convinced that there's a market for non-structural replacements for stuff like this. It would just be a ball-ache getting the sign-off from Renault/Valeo/whoever to be able to make them under licence. I'd definitely be doing the same if the worst...

182 rear quarter panel replacement - Part 1

No worries at all. Not sure of the current price for the OSR panel, but the NSR panel was £533.89+VAT when I ordered it the other week. That's from Renault in France via the local Renault dealership. Although the OSR panel has the fuel filler cap area, I'd be surprised if it was much different...

    Zombie Army 4

Surprised that there's not been a thread for any of the Zombie Army games yet? I thought it was worth a mention, having completed the main campaign and the one included in Season Pass 1 on the PC. It's a great, mindless 3rd person shooter. More so, it's only £3.89 on cdkeys at the minute and...

    Old Games Collections.

I think I said similar in another post - but I genuinely don't recall the AI path finding to be as terrible as it is in this. Your troops are STUPID! 😄

    Time & Attendance/HR systems

Do not use anything from this place - unless your expectations are less than a Texas Instruments Speak & Spell. https://www.timeandattendance.co.uk/ Got these at work and they are pure toilet. The manager of our department can't even run a simple report to snapshot a list of staff holidays...

    Horn location?

When I had my arch liners and front bumper off the other week, a non-working horn was one of the issues I was going to fix. Disconnected and reconnected each end of the black and white wires in turn - and with each, scrubbed the crud and crap off the connectors with a little wire brush. Added a...

Haha! So I did!! What a tool..... 😁

    Horn location?

Has there been two locations mentioned? If you imagine that the front bumper is in situ, the horn is behind where the passenger side front fog lamp is.
