Was tempted to put the coffin in the Clio but in a car that small it'd just kill it - so gonna go with a more subtle stereo of a couple of 8" subs in a shelf.
And no, I'm not remapping it, or lowering it, or tuning it - Norm knows the score. ;)
Got ~33k on it, and I confirmed on the test drive that the trip computer thinks it's actually been getting 60mpg for the last 300 miles... So should be good!

This Clio is staying standard unless a SERIOUSLY cheap RS interior appears on the 'bay, or one of the projects turn one up. There are plans afoot to spend the money I save, I just need to finalise them before I tell you what :p
There are better for the money than a Cat D, but you'll have to spend a shade more. If your budget extends to around 4, then you'll get an alright one IMO.
Evening all! Just thought I'd tell you all that I've ditched Diesely-weasely for another girl, bit older and more experienced:
£35 tax FTW! Lol!
Think I'm gonna miss the Megane TBH, but I'm hoping it'll be worth it! :)
Just a quick clean, with the aid of the assistant! Rinse, wash down with 50:50 Shampoo/Hyper Wash, dry, and a coat of Dodo Wax Light Fantastic all over!
Yeah I did that to one of my Megane's wheel nuts! Fortunately I broke one that went into the spacer, so just had to take the spacer off and the bolt was easy-ish to remove.
Will a flat head and a hammer not get it out? As they don't tend to be THAT bad...
Righty, before I start unfortunately this one was on strict time constraints - it's the old dear's fairly unloved Clio III Dynamique S and whilst she can use mine, I wouldn't see it back until 8 tonight and could do with it before then! So started it on Saturday lunchtime, but was on hold...
When your laptop is repaired they often use refurbished parts - they carry the same warranty as new and effectively are new, they're just faulty parts that have come back and been repaired and tested. You won't find a manufacturer out there that DOESN'T do this, as to bin hardware for what is...
It's a fair shout on their part TBH though mate, as everyone's ADSL is a contended line and I guess they're learning the hard way that their advertised speed is a 'best possible' but realistically it can plummet.
I know at least one computer in every department has had the Olympics on all day...
You're asking alot of a cheap-ass desktop tbh - however Dell E-Value code UKBSDONL-D084101 is a Dell Vostro 410 tower computer, with a Core2Quad processor for £230+shipping and VAT. You'll want a memory upgrade for it but that's about as cheap and as powerful as you can get nowadays.

That's the sort of spec you want. Buy a second SATA HDD for it (and an SATA cable) and it'll do you proud - and silent too...
It's not great but I guess you're limited to half of your USB controller's theoretical throughput of 480Mbit. Which equals 30MB/sec. And that assumes you're not using anything else USB as well...
I've got a 32GB USB Pen Drive that confuses XP, as XP doesn't like formatting volumes over 10GB as FAT32. Lol. It does work though! Just gotta mess with performance settings.
FAT32 is still fine for external storage :) As to push FAT32 you're using more than an external hard drive as it's capable of dealing with partitions up to 8TB in size.
