So.... bumping my earlier post - does anyone on here have it on Steam where I can complete the last achievement with?
I need to complete 5 missions either in co-op or online. With the crazily archaic match-making in this game - I have to use invite codes from other players - there are no lobby...
Hi all,
Was checking on the fluids yesterday and spotted the clip highlighted, was broken. I could simply glue it, but I doubt that would last long.
Does anyone have the P/N and know whether or not if they are still available?
Cheers.
It might be worth looking into transporting your car to a specialist?
When I had mine ferried to Alex @ AW Motorworks - it was a journey of over 230 miles one way. It didn't cost that much in all fairness and pretty much all flatbeds have a winch should your car not be able to move under its...
Cheers - well it's not a leak then as it idles and pulls fine. That's one thing to tick off.
Not sure actually - I'll have to take a look. Thinking it might be fouling something?
Probably the most easiest thing I could do, I guess? Clean it up and see if it returns? Might try that at the...
Sorry all - me being stupid. I didn't realise that the inlet manifold gasket section was physically separate from the rocker cover behind it - and not an all-in-one cast.
So, it's not a rocker cover gasket issue!
Does it appear to be a straight-forward plenum-off and intake manifold gasket...
Not 'quite' the same, but my dad smacked a protruding kerb in his car on the front left wheel.
Had it fixed and even a replacement wheel on that corner, but every now and then you'd get a juddering/slight wobble feel whilst turning right.
Annoyingly, it didn't do it all the time - but it was...
Welcome aboard!
As @Tory-ing_Rob says - the driveshafts come in many variations and are increasingly like hen's teeth to find. I'd certainly be looking after them as best you can. :)
With that issue you mention above, you've raised the ride height by 20mm, does the wobbling get even less the...
Ah - nice one - thanks for that.
As mentioned - I'll get some photos tonight - see if those help. Should there be any areas around it that I should pay particular attention to?
I should have taken a picture of it before creating this thread - but is the rocker cover gasket easy enough to replace on a 182?
I did the natural thing first - just nipped up the bolts to make sure none were loose without over-tightening them, not that any of them seemed slack to begin with...
Sure, the details I were given are:-

You need a copy of your V5 details and an image of the old VIN sticker, if you...
Cheers mate - I'll get one ordered then. I was just confirming that they weren't £5.99 or something similar! :P
It was the firm that Renault Manchester actually use, so I guess it should be a good match against the old one.
@Gally @Daniel
Chaps - just wondering what the going rate for a replacement VIN sticker is these days? I was quoted £48 - and while I'm not exactly a tight arse - I thought was a bit much for a B-pillar bit of identification.
If this is a typical price - I'll pay it. Just wanted to check I...
If the 1.2 version is just as cluttered as the 182 - you won't be able to unfortunately. It will require the wiper mechanism to come out.
As @MRBILLYUK says - it might seem daunting at first, but it really is pretty straight-forward. Removing all that mechanism helps you to clear the area of...
You're not missing anything by having blanking plates on the headlight washers - other than a constant dribble and a pool of washer fluid under your front bumper.
Disconnected mine on the 182 years ago.
To be fair - the vast majority of people will look at that as 'just' a silver Clio.
The LY ones have much more road presence - despite on paper being more numerically common.
I reckon by the time I get the nearside done, I will have paid for the car again from when I got it in 2004!
It's strangely worth it though. Almost like you feel like you have a duty to the car to look after it - lol.
I am really pleased with it - just wish I had enough ££££ set aside to do both sides at once! :)
As for the company name - this is where it gets really confusing!
So, Bury Motor Bodies is the firm I used here. Though technically, they are a few miles north of Bury itself and are closer to me...
New panel fitment.
Paint booth.
Arch area protection.
Door getting painted too.
Almost done.
Finished article.
Overall, I was very happy with the service that Rob and Mark provided. So much so that I won't have any issues going back to them for Part 2 of the refurb -...
So, after a while of procrastination, I bit the bullet and decided to get the offside rear panel sorted. As most will be aware, the crap design of the fuel filler area and the lottery of the cill protection means that rust can be on a sliding scale of pretty much zero to a clump of brown metal...
Still hate and detest the things, but I do like reading your updates on it!
I think as a work's car - I'd be treating it like you do - why not? And if given the (cheap) opportunity to have one through work, I'd probably say yes and treat it like an appliance on four wheels that it is/was. We...
