I work as a design/production engineer, we use them and have never had any problems arise from salvaging a part using a helicoil insert. As long as you knock the tang off there good as.
Its going to be biased towards the L.H pipe, the lead up to the L.H pipe is straight where as the R.H pipe has a 90 deg bend in it. Therefore the majority on the fumes are forced straight out the L.H side and a small amount backs up and works its way round to the R.H pipe.
Couldnt tell you if mine does it :(. Ive got a full magnex and supersprint decat. It pops well though when your coming down through the gears, especially after giving it some stick though so should do...... I imagine :confused:
