Well, i foned the DVLA voice automated instruction phone system thingy (which is a good way of the DVLA making sure you cant actually speak to a human being) and it stated that the DVLA would not take any action against an individual for a period of 14 days after the renewal date. I would just...
That is soooo disgusting - i cannot believe it is that expensive. I got angry when i needed a new centre cap for my Clio mk2 standard alloys and renault charged me over £30 for a plastic one! Renault customer service is awful.
I didnt renew my tax on friday because i couldnt afford it until this Friday. I checked and im under the impression that you have two weeks grace to get it sorted? Is that true fellas? Dont want to get stopped by a coppa this week and fined or worse yet, get a letter in the post asking why i...
That is abosoloutely rediculous - there is no way that you should be paying that bill - they have fixed nothing. Lets be honest - with that diognosis it must have taken thirty seconds to check. They are probably trying to charge you for 3 hours of labour (£70ish) - arseholes!
Ive got a circle of rust around my rear wiper arm - im frightened the bloody thing is going to fall off - this also seems to happen to a lot of valvers so it would be good if someone could give us aall a bit of advice as to how to treat this before the worst happens!
Thanks
Its a bit of a problem when you have a valver and the air filter is nowhere near the bonnet vent! I think ill just run the air feed from bellow the radiator as the heat from the radiator is what is currently being fed into my air filter!! Not good! Then my temp should go down dramatically -...
Now it sounds even more like the alternator!! Your car should be ticking over at idle at about 8-900 rpm. If its lower than this then the alternator belt is not tight enough. You therefore do not have enough power being produced (hence the lights flickering)
LOL! Bloody clios!! The difference in heat related performance is rediculous!! Wish mine would stay at quater temp and stick to it!! I need a new fan too!!
Ive got a green cotton filter at the momment which sounds sweet. When the engine is cold the car flies but as the temperature rises - my performance suffers slightly. Im guessing this is because warm air off the radiator is getting into the air filter as i dont have a good cold air feed running...
Do it yourself - i had never worked on a car before and with a little help from my dad and the holy bible which is the Haynes Manual- i managed to completely replace the head, oil/fuel filters, cam belt, alternator belt, thermostat, gaskets, exhaust manifold, engine oil and gearbox oil and heat...
seriously - try a breakers yard! They can usually be trusted so long as you ask them to describe the condition of it. Mine was like new and i only paid 8 quid for it +£2 postage
There you go then - i was close! They do protect all the break lines and stuff and believe me- thats important - the exhaust manifold gets the hottest! Burnt me wrist on it and had to go to hospital - it hurt, a lot!
I ran mine without it for a month and it was fine. Have got one now tho and its probably for the best. Just get one in good nick from a breakers yard. They are dead chep. take it your talking about the exhaust manifold heat sheild by the way!
1) Make sure your fan isnt broken
2)make sure you have enough coolant/water in your water bottle
3)Make sure your oil level is ok
Mine is a valver and it does it all the time - my fan is broken though! In the mean time (so as to be on the safe side) put your heaters on full and wind your...
There is a fuse but not sure which one - also, it may affect other parts of the car that are not broke if you take it out! How did you break it? Or is it the usual, broke on its own cozs its French situation!!
Just always see posts about 1.2s having them done - ive got a green cotton air filter at the mo - love the noise etc but would a viper make more of a difference? Guess theyre pretty expensive?
Thats so out of order - how can they claim that is second hand if its only done ten miles!!!!!! Absoloute b******s the lot of em. We buy our renaults though and know we are going to get terrible service! But thats just takes the piss.
So are they refusing to put the mats in full stop? What are...
So whats the big deal about these then? I really dont know anything about them so it would be good to find out more. One more thing, why are they only ever put on 1.2s? is that the idea?
No its not - Look closely and you will see that the windscreen wipers (our right hand side) are different in each piccie!
Anyway, it dont look that different really - not bad tho especially for the price but if you can get the renault one then i would!
