16v Oil pressure

What should it be when warm? Mine varies around the 1 bar mark.

Also on full revs should it show full pressure on the gauge as mine does but someone elses i know doesnt?

depends really, but on a healthy engine you should be getting high oil pressure. about 1 bar when warm at idle, and pretty much max pressure when ur thrashing the pants off of it!

one of my friends never went above 1.5 bar, ever even at 7800rpm!

Mine sits just above 1 bar and maxes the gauge out when bootin it.

mine goes to about 2-3 when giving it the boot!

Never got to three bar? Mine goes right up to six with max revs!

Im worried that mine goes too high now! What did they go to out of the showroom?

mines as high as a kite, and iv had a fullengine rebuild, so it should be fine mate!

The higher the better really - its when it goes bang that you will find there is a problem

mine never went above 3 then i replaced the rocker gastket and now it goes up to 6 i noticed a difference in performace too. check for oil in the spark plug holes and not from spillages

those figures are an average guideline set by renault. if it goes up to the top at max revs then thats ok.
