    dangerous?

I assume that no matter what the conditions are! I couldn't count how many times I've had to avoid crashes, knocks and bumps, therefore I always assume some idiot is gonna try their best to ruin my day :o

    New Racing Stripe! gold!!!

Amazing, get gold alloys, gold wing mirrors, gold side strips etc to match, will look fantastic! :approve:

    dangerous?

As far as I know Greenlight do not cover the Cup at all, unless that has changed recently.

    Mindless,Spineless Scum

FFS, gutting mate! There really are some prats around!! Guess this shows there not all in the UK, just most of them :s
  5. sh33n

    dangerous?

Yer fair point, but the cup is no more dangerous. When the roads get all nice and icey go for a drive and slam on your brakes and see what happens :rasp:

My New Misanos and 24k mile service

    They look lovely!

    dangerous?

PMSL, the cup is no more dangerous in winter than it is in the summer. Try and brake hard in any car with abs on an icey road you're gonna lock up!

when is everyone putting their winter wheels on?

Yer I know, was thinking of some pro race 1.2s in black, but not sure if black is a bit too dark, would be much easier than cleaning the white ones all winter!

when is everyone putting their winter wheels on?

Never, haven't got any, well not yet anyway  I just want something darker to save the white ones!

Why did you sell your 172?

Boredom really, no real reason. Maybe the black smoke that come out now and then when booting it also worried me a touch.

    My 172... time to change?

    Whoops too late :o :approve:

    My 172... time to change?

Why bother changing for essentially the same car? Keep it, or get something that's not a clio.

OK how much would these sets of engine work cost? fred/yoz could answer one...

I'll take that as a compliment, lol. For sure, if you're just after a lot of go then that's the way forward, personally I need a balance between go, comfort, exclusivity, etc, after all I drive mine to work everyday. Would a clio with 8k of mods be ok for a 50 mile commute everyday, doubt...

OK how much would these sets of engine work cost? fred/yoz could answer one...

I've got a DC5. I completely understand the love for the french hot hatches, fantastic performance for little money! But personally spending those sort of figures on a clio sounds too much for me, but again it's his money etc :) 15k could probably get you a 350Z, S2k, V6 (maybe a mk2)...

OK how much would these sets of engine work cost? fred/yoz could answer one...

Pretty sure Dansta already has H&Rs so that's covered anyway. It's a lot to spend on a clio mate, I was thinking about doing some stuff to my near standard cup cause I was getting a bit bored of it, but in the end thought, really is it all worth it, have changed cars and don't miss the cup...

    Help me please!!!

They will tell you the clutch is a wearable part. Don't tell them what you think it is to start, just say, look the car has another 2 years warranty left, so I don't want to be charged for anything. If they try pull a fast one, then be prepared for it!

Best exhaust replacement for Clio 172

My only advice is don't get a Magnex, the system is far too heavy for the car and I never got it to sit correctly! Altough it did sound good. A lot of people are going for YozzaSport exhausts at the mo, worth a look into, that or get a custom one.

    RX8 190 Against Clio182

Can be dependent on the particular engine, and what oil you use, but yer my Honda does enjoy drinking the oil as much as the petrol :S
  24. sh33n

    what you guys think?

The guy speaks the truth. I spoke to a guy that had apex springs on his cup and yes it did look fantastic, but he couldn't believe just how bad the handaling had become, like you say, probably down to the damper having nowhere to go.
  25. sh33n

    Sport or Pro Eibachs?

Never had the sportlines, but I had Pro's on my Cup and you can notice a good difference in body roll and cornering ability. When I followed my mate in his standard cup I kept having to back off around corners because I was all over him, really did make a firm difference.
  26. sh33n

    what you guys think?

Aftermarket springs doesn't always mean lowering.
