I assume that no matter what the conditions are!
I couldn't count how many times I've had to avoid crashes, knocks and bumps, therefore I always assume some idiot is gonna try their best to ruin my day :o
Yer fair point, but the cup is no more dangerous.
When the roads get all nice and icey go for a drive and slam on your brakes and see what happens :rasp:
Yer I know, was thinking of some pro race 1.2s in black, but not sure if black is a bit too dark, would be much easier than cleaning the white ones all winter!
I'll take that as a compliment, lol.
For sure, if you're just after a lot of go then that's the way forward, personally I need a balance between go, comfort, exclusivity, etc, after all I drive mine to work everyday.
Would a clio with 8k of mods be ok for a 50 mile commute everyday, doubt...
I've got a DC5.
I completely understand the love for the french hot hatches, fantastic performance for little money! But personally spending those sort of figures on a clio sounds too much for me, but again it's his money etc :)
15k could probably get you a 350Z, S2k, V6 (maybe a mk2)...
Pretty sure Dansta already has H&Rs so that's covered anyway.
It's a lot to spend on a clio mate, I was thinking about doing some stuff to my near standard cup cause I was getting a bit bored of it, but in the end thought, really is it all worth it, have changed cars and don't miss the cup...
They will tell you the clutch is a wearable part.
Don't tell them what you think it is to start, just say, look the car has another 2 years warranty left, so I don't want to be charged for anything.
If they try pull a fast one, then be prepared for it!
My only advice is don't get a Magnex, the system is far too heavy for the car and I never got it to sit correctly! Altough it did sound good.
A lot of people are going for YozzaSport exhausts at the mo, worth a look into, that or get a custom one.
The guy speaks the truth.
I spoke to a guy that had apex springs on his cup and yes it did look fantastic, but he couldn't believe just how bad the handaling had become, like you say, probably down to the damper having nowhere to go.
Never had the sportlines, but I had Pro's on my Cup and you can notice a good difference in body roll and cornering ability.
When I followed my mate in his standard cup I kept having to back off around corners because I was all over him, really did make a firm difference.
Bloody hell, there's more people with VX's than CTRs on the site now! lol.
Very nice car mate!! Would love to have one if I could be bothered to run two cars (but I can't lol).
