What you do really depends on the surroundings, how fast you're turing, what speed you are doing, is it a tight apex, etc etc.
john.med basically explained how not to get lift off oversteer.
To correct oversteer generally turning in the opposite direction with a bit of power will straighten...
I haven't at the moment on my Alpine HU, they do sound very crisp and clear, however you cannot turn them up that loud without distorion.
I think an amp would solve this problem.
I've tried them and thought they were pretty rubbish tbh.
But as I said, tyre choice is a personal preference, if it works for you then that's what matters.

Have you sold the Clio then? If not then keep the insurance with Tesco's for that car and try other companies for the 106.
I know it's a little late now, but I would have never bought a car unless I knew before hand the cost of insurance, it's always a big factor when purchasing.
