Inform your local cop shop you are going to do it.
Display a very small sign in your window stating that cctv is in operation.
Make sure the camera view does not take in anyone elses property.

The obvious problem with all laser detectors is, that it only detects the laser when its active and pointed at or around your car. So, by the time the detector alerts you, youre problably already caught. Pointless IMO.
My oil/serv light comes on when I park facing up a hill, and wont go out until I park facing downwards, turn engine off and on again!!
But if i check the sump level using the dipstick, the level is fine. The sensors are obviously placed at the front of the engine.
