My garmin has always aquired satellites within 10 secs (even when it needs batteries) and has never failed to get me where I want to go. I think they're like road angels- some good and some bad.
Well I love mine, and I would not waste 700 or so quid replacing them, money better spent on engine/chassis mods.
Besides, everyone who has slab-sided alloys complain about brake overheating on track days.
My cup is 3 yrs old in November and has only done 16k! Still on original rear rubber!! (went through a few sets of fronts though;)
Absolutely faultless so far, except for a melted steering wheel.
I dont think it would be dangerous tbh, I'm not even sure what that bit's purpose is. Non RS's dont have it. It could be something to do with heat dissipation maybe? Might be worth asking Yoz or Fred to be sure.
Does anyone have any good pics of 172s / cups slammed on FK coilies? Getting mine delivered tomorrow and I'm keen to see what the finished product will look like!
Ta much :)
Is it just me or are those calipers on upside down?
On my cup, the thick bit is at the bottom of the caliper. :S I don't suppose it makes much difference to braking though. Are everyone else's like this?
Na, the sidemount brackets are universal and are supposed to be bolted onto the floor, but if you look at the bolt configuration on the clio you'll see that one side is offset from the other by a good few inches. So it's necessary to have a flat, low subframe that matches the floor bolt config...
Good luck finding a clio subframe that accepts a sidemount. I searched the whole feckin' planet, and in the end I had to modify a basemount subframe to suit !
I use an Antler backpack I got from PC world for 30 quid. It's very rugged, well cushioned and has lots of wee pockets for things. It's also got a really good handle at the top for carrying like a normal case if you like.
I am seriously considering an aftermarket wheel now, since the standard one melted it feels horrible, all lumpy and sticky.
I fancy a rally sl@g style in suede with the yellow band at the top.
Very nice John :approve:
I like the super t's- you should keep them and refurb them in metaflake!
C+C customs will do you a really good quality backbox with your choice of tailpipe for £180 fitted.
