Out of the three choices above I would defo go for the conti's mate. They grip pretty well for the money. But if you're trading up in January, why not just shove some cheapies on?
Re: MOT past with flying colours!
Just back from the mot place with mine. Passed with no probs whatsoever (53 cup with 18k) I had to show him the article published by VOSA though regarding cups not having the brake bias actuating arm, and having little braking effort at the rear. After that he...
Harnesses are perfectly legal to use on the road. I've been stopped about 4-5 times for not wearing a belt and sent on my way when they see the harnesses. Seatbelts must be fitted for the MOT though. You can remove the belts in the back if you remove the seats though.
Havent bent the bumper brackets yet just trimmed the liner a bit, but had a little bit of scuffing today round a roundabout so i'll probably modify it slightly tomorrow.
After a lot of faffing about, I put the cup in for it's FK transplant today. I told the guy I wanted it slammed, and he set them so low it wasnt even drivable. Back it went and raised 15-20 mm and it sits perfect with no rubbing, camber and alignment are spot on. A wee bit of arch liner had to...
Thanks for the info, I'm going to go down there and get the car back and do the liners myself. The guy at the garage said he has got the camber perfect, but I just remembered I am running 205 exaltos on the front, so no wonder they're rubbing.
What metal lip are you referring to Chris? I've...
My cup is in the garage as I type getting my FK's fitted. The guy has just phoned me to tell me the wheels are rubbing on any kind of lock, and he needs to cut away some arch liner. He said it is a trial and error situation and will require another 2-3 hours labour. Does anyone here know exactly...
Gutted for ya Colin, F*ckin little pr*cks deserve to get stabbed in the eye socket.
You dont have to buy a camcorder, just get a cctv system and link it to your video/dvd recorder. I've got a black and white camera with night vision watching mine and the missus' cars and it is ideal. Picks up...
Managed to snap a pedal spindle inside the crank arm (drive side :( ) causing me to hit a tree. Bent a wheel and the bars. My forks dont look too clever either. I was ok though. Totally pissed off though after climbing that baisterd of a hill at Glentress and breaking the bike on the first trail...
Yeah that was me mate, your cup looked mint. I was just back from a B-road blast from Peebles so the car was filthy. There was also a pile of broken mountain bike in the back!!
